I just got a ticket via step so looks like I might be able to go again this year. I am caring 24/7 for a 97 year old elder so might be able to get away for 3 nights. If it doesn't make sense to go as things get closer any idea how late I could turn the ticket back in to step and help someone else get home?

He was a 19 minutes after the hour time stamp.

Good Morning STEPchildren!
So I get my STEPtickets email on Thursday awarding tickets. I opened the link to check the price. This morning, I open the link to purchase the tickets and get this message:

We're sorry but the email containing this link was sent in error during routine server tests. We apologize for any inconvenience, but please note that this has not effected your position in STEP. You will be notified by email once your turn comes up in STEP.

I searched older posts, but could not find a similar issue. Has this happened to anyone else? I know others, after me (as far as timestamps go) have received emails. I have about 21hours left in the window and am wondering if I need to shoot off an email.

Thanks in advance for the input.

Rythmic, I would send an email right away. What was your time stamp on your original STEP confirmation? Good luck with this and let us know how it turns out. Rooting for you!

Uh, now my link says the same thing:

I hadn't bought the ticket yet because I was transferring funds to the account I signed up with. Soo, I'm guessing I email ticketing. Coincidentally, a friend of a friend offered me her extra presale ticket, which I declined as I had just gotten the STEP email. Luckily, she still has it, so I might just eat the extra 30 bucks and buy that one, it might be worth it just to avoid will call.

And I gotta say, sending the "ticket available" email to an active recipient is not a "routine server test." Tests are sent to dummy accounts. Again, I hate to come down on the obviously over-worked ticketing dept., but this is standard stuff here.

This happened a couple of weeks ago as well.

Sadly I don't know what's going on or have any info to make this easier. This close to the Burn it's almost like torture. Ugh.

Add me to the list of people who got the April Fools STEP ticket email. When I first clicked on the link it took me to a page where I could fill in my info, I didn't buy right away, and now today (2 days later), credit card in hand, and I get the "Ooops, sorry" message. With an extra 1000 tickets suddenly in the program, I'd like to think my name should be floating to the surface soon.

I remember that too. I'm wondering if any of the people who received that error message back then later got STEP tickets. Anyone wanna confirm that?

The latest JRS just arrived. So many opportunities to volunteer or participate...!
But still no tickets...

This is what I find is the hardest about not knowing when STEP will come through (if it does): until I know for sure I can go, I can't really participate fully in camp planning or volunteer for playa work. And although I've made some travel preparations, I can't really go all out on preparations until I know...

I've had all my fingers crossed for soooo long now that I can't scratch my nose without sticking some fingers in my eyes...
