Just want to warn the community that if you get contacted by a guy in Pittsburgh, PA who claims to have tickets, DO NOT SEND HIM MONEY! He's a scammer. I'm out close to 700 bucks for two second tier tickets. Major bummer. He goes by several names, but his phone number is 412-807-xxxx.

(Moderator note - edited part of phone number - if the rest of the info matches, be wary. Esp since tickets have yet to be shipped. Don't let a scammer play your anguish at chasing tickets... Thanks, bbs, mod. ep)

Why on earth you would send ANYONE money for tickets that haven't even been sent out yet.. let alone a complete stranger from the internet.. is beyond me.

I won't go as far as to say that you deserved it.. but..

I know. I did. You're right. I feel about as retarded as possible. He was just going to change the name on the ticket and the address to which they were going to go, I've done that with friends before. He said he was part of Grilled Cheese Incident last year... In retrospect, very stupid.

Filing a police report and talking to the FBI... the guy has done this many times, apparently

I'd even venture so far as to say that it might be a good idea to rename it to "Known Scammer - Beware!", or to include it in a thread of that nature, that can be (hopefully not) added to as incidents (hopefully don't) arise.

Fear is a biggie right about now and alot of people are probably considering taking this kind of chance.
