No, I just found out for sure about the move last week, and on another thread I read a post by a mod that it's too late to change your address. Guess I'll have to do the mail forward, which is annoying since it'll be JUST for the tix... all my other bills, important stuff, etc. are electronic. Yeah, it's worth it, but I thought the tix would be mailed in June so I'm cranky. First world problems, yeah, but... le sigh.number3 wrote:Did you do the addy change with tickets.burningman?Machina wrote:I got $320 level tickets; no tickets/shipping email yet... it's already July 9, and I move in about 2 weeks.I know whining won't make them come any faster, I'm just grumpy that I may have to fork out $60 for mail forwarding/address change with Canada Post.

Has anyone in Canada received tickets yet, or a shipping email?

Re: Have not received tickets yet. Have you?
I am also still waiting for an email, saving the best for last

If burning man really what’s to fix itself just put a name on the ticket of the buyer, and checked at the gate, so no scalping on tickets, if you can’t make it return to ticketfly for full refund, then the ticket is resold at face value.
Re: Have not received tickets yet. Have you?
It is now mid-July...no ticket, no notification, no nothing, except for the charge on my credit card, six months ago...
47 days until the event begins, and I still don't have my ticket in hand. I have preparations to make, that will require serious financial expenditure (need to buy $1200 worth of tires, for the vehicle), and make a couple of pre-event trips to Reno, if I am to attend this year. The ticket is the merest formality, in terms of what needs to be accomplished between now and late August, if I am to mount another successful Burning Man expedition this year.
But, since we all know that the one thing you must have if you want to attend Burning Man is the all-important ticket, I am reluctant to invest time and money, when I have no assurance that I will be admitted at the gate, without a ticket, which I still don't have...
So: Should I panic? Should I call the office...has there been some mistake? Is it possible that somebody has hacked the STEP program? WHEN WILL I HAVE IT?
After what date should I give up, and request a refund?

Re: Have not received tickets yet. Have you?
You worry too much. I bought six tickets and haven't heard boo yet either. Same goes for the vast majority of the people in my camp. They'll get there soon enough. Remember, this is Burning Manferchrissakes. A bunch of stoned unemployable desert rat burners are handling this, and you expect it to go smoothly? Thanks, I needed a good laugh.

Relax, the tickets are still being mailed out. When you should panic is if you hear that the initial mailing has completed and you still haven't heard anything. Until that happens, no need to freak.

Quoting a post by Simon from the "Damaged Envelope, Missing Ticket" thread, in which he quotes, I guess, the Ticketing FAQ:brnr96 wrote:It is now mid-July...no ticket, no notification, no nothing, except for the charge on my credit card, six months ago...

So, in answer to your question -- don't do anything until July 23 (EDIT: Or, as Trilo says, once there's been notification that all tickets have been sent). At that point, if you haven't received an email, you can contact ticketing. Contacting them prior to that, while they still have the bitter taste of envelope glue on their tongues, will probably just annoy them.Simon of the Playa wrote:Have my Tickets Shipped Yet?
everybody relax...If you selected "USPS Secure" or "Canada" as the delivery method for your order you will receive an email notification with tracking information once your order has shipped. We began shipping tickets mid-June 2012 and expect that all orders from the Pre-Sale and Main Sale will be finished shipping the week of July16. If you still haven't received your shipping notification email at that time, please contact us.
AFTER YOU RECEIVE YOUR TICKET SHIPPING NOTIFICATION:
If you do not receive your ticket order within 4 weeks of your shipment notification email please contact us. Before then, we ask that you not contact support asking where your tickets are, as it slows down our response time to other people needing help.
Once you've got the email, delay panicking for at least another 4 months. When it comes time to panic, contact wh..sh for instructions. She's the expert in such things, or so I hear

I don't know about you, but I would start panicking WAY before 4 Months.

4 weeks is probably better.... Or 4 months. Then you'd be right on time for the 2013 pre-sale

Re: Have not received tickets yet. Have you?
In the interest of providing information:
Ticket shipping Email notification received on 03JUL2012 3pm.
Used the USPS link and tracking number in the Email to check on progress.
The tracking number stated "Electronic shipping info received" on 05JUL2012.
That status did not change on the USPS web site even when the tickets were actually delivered today 11JUL2012. I suppose it might change to delivered later today, but there was no indication it was out for delivery.
So don't rely on the USPS site to give you a heads up for the delivery.
But, HEY! I got them!

It took over a week for the envelope to get from San Francisco to Silicon valley?
Yeah, it's a common thing with tracking numbers from USPS, they run up to 48 hours behind. It's useful if you want to know who was the last person to touch it before it disappeared.

It did but I think the July 4th right in the middle of the week helped that. The tickets did not appear to be in USPS system until Thursday the 5th, so just under a week, it seems. It took over a week for the envelope to get from San Francisco to Silicon valley?

Re: Have not received tickets yet. Have you?
Ran into the same issue with 2 tickets for friends. Got a shipping confirmation email on Jul 3rd but I checked today and the status was still at "Electronic shipping info received".
I contacted USPS and they started an "investigation" but they had no useful information for that tracking number.
I contacted burning man support and got a reply in 3 hours with a new tracking number. Apparently, I was sent the wrong tracking number.
According to the new tracking number status, I should have the tickets in today.
Doesnt look like it was a stand alone problem. Many people from that shipping batch might run into the same issue.
Edit: July 3rd.

Re: Have not received tickets yet. Have you?
Yes, I saw that. (The Independence Day thing.) If something enters the system on Thursday, then they should be at the big giant Oakland sorting station that night, and reach the Berkeley substation the next morning to be delivered Saturday. Of course, these aren't going first class, but usually that doesn't matter on something that size, it ends up in the first class anyway. I suppose we're spoiled rotten in Alameda County...offarock wrote:It did but I think the July 4th right in the middle of the week helped that. I live a stones throw from "The City'. I got my ticket today. My email came 2 days ago. I got a survival guide and a fire ball. The label said signature required but it was just stuffed in my mailbox. There was no attempt to knock on my door because that's the way my mailman rolls. See ME in the dust.

From origin in CA to door in FL in 48 hours. BAM.
2 x xmas pre-sale tickets IN HAND as of today.
EDIT: These were also a transferred set from the original purchaser. They received the confirmation email as if they were still the addressee.. but they automatically came to my door.
