I tore the bottom stub off of my ticket!! is it invalidated?
Oops!! I accidentally tore the bottom stub off my ticket right after I pulled it out of the envelope! What should I do? Is my ticket invalidated? I live in San Francisco, is there a local BM office I can trade my ticket for a new one at, if need be!? HELP!!!!
Re: I tore the bottom stub off of my ticket!! is it invalida
Email partiserv@burningman.com with your question, and for the love of god, keep both torn sides, and your envelope, and all that good stuff. Okay?
Best of luck.
Best of luck.

OMG I saw somebody drop a baby one time. She was getting off the escalator in a department store and that baby just seemed like it flew out of her hands and bounced off the floor and she picked it up off the bounce so quick nobody ever would have known it happened except that I was looking right at her. She just kept walking like nothing happened. I dont even remember the baby crying. I think it was too stunned.

One of my camp tickets actually showed up with the stub having already fallen off.Not too concerned as have confidence the gate crew will be able to verify both sections belong to each other.

And is remarkable exactitude of fine people's printing press that could make ticket so well as to work flawless and dynamic in effect, for greater good of the proletariat of City-State of Black Rock.
Another stunning achievement of successful glorious fulfillment under example of Juche when all adhere to correct and right thought of Apokiliptikan Directedness under the new Secretary General as applied under principle of Killbuckistanian logic.

Comrade Sue,You are correct in assuming that indeed wreckers and sabateurs were probably involved in the shoddy makeup of this particular ducat.Indeed our first instinct was to follow the Juche example and do nothing. However we also decided that trusting gate personel may play into the hands of our common enemies. Thus we played the parti-serve card and were surprised we got a very quick answer. We were told to send the ticket back for a new one.Of course they"suggested",with further expense on our part,it be returned by certified mail.Got to believe this will happen to others so this is the course to take.

Ticket stub torn
So Two friends of mine bought tickets from a 3rd party seller and both tickets were detached from the stubs. All the numbers match up so we are sure the tickets are legit. Will the gate accept the tickets as is? Can they be replaced? IS it too late? Thanks.

"Rubber Cement
Background
Rubber cement is a solution of unvulcanized (gum) rubber in a solvent, and is used as an adhesive. Ideally, it is meant to join two pieces of rubber together, which involves a chemical cohesion process. When joining two pieces of rubber, only one surface has to be coated with rubber cement since they are the same material. However, when joining paper together, both pieces need to be covered with rubber cement. When rubber cement dries, only the parts in contact with the paper remain, which holds the two pieces together. Despite this limitation, the household type of rubber cement finds wide use for applications such as mounting photographs. Unlike with white glue, the joined pieces of paper can be pulled apart without damaging either piece."

Jessica, it's the Saturday the week before the gates open. No, no one is going to be in the office. They are on the playa.
How about a bit more information?
Did you just buy your ticket, and the seller gave you one that had the stub torn off? If so, you likely have to take it up with the seller.
Did your ticket arrive from Inticketing this way, and you just now got around to wondering if it'd be an issue?
Do you have both parts?

Re: I tore the bottom stub off of my ticket!! is it invalida
Right, so after a stunning FOUR WEEKS in the mail, my tickets finally arrived. One went to my boyfriend, who put it in his backpack, and when he took it out later, the stub was detached. Guess the perf isn't very strong.
Obviously the serial numbers still match up and the ticket itself isn't damaged--just detached. I emailed the address referenced above, and yes, they are out of office. I emailed the ticketing support too, but last time I contacted them, it took three weeks to get a response, so I'm not holding my breath.
I sincerely hope there won't be an issue with this ticket at the gate. We are flying out in less than a week, and like many others, have spent a lot of time and money on planning, costume-making, transportation, and the works. If the ticket is rejected at the gate, my head will probably explode. I'm going to bring the receipt and everything, and logically I don't know WHY it would be rejected since the serial numbers match, we have proof we bought it directly from the lottery, etc... but this year has just been so weird and challenging, who knows.
I will ALWAYS choose will call in the future...

Blame the Canadian postal system for the delay. And your bf for putting it in his backpack.
As other Canadians have posted, will call is the way to go.

Oh yes, I will definitely be doing will call in the future.
Not really interested in blaming or pointing the finger at this point (though I did give him a hard time about the backpack)... with the event a week away, I really just want to make sure we'll both get in without issue.

Wow! You already went? How was it? Someone said last year "it was better next year" so I'm wondering if that's true.

Update on this, for anyone else in the same boat. I got a reply from support!
Regarding the damaged ticket, make sure you bring the damaged ticket and its stub with you to the event. If you bring one but not the other, you will not be able to enter the event.
As long as you bring the ticket and its stub, you'll be fine.
Have a great burn!
