When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower.
When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.

Did you wait after it stopped loading or were you continuing to refresh the page?abigdeal82 wrote:TICKET ACQUIRED!!!! I'M COMING HOME!!!

Got to the point of being able to put in my email and then it all fell apart, and now they're saying that my token is no longer valid:

Pretty discouraging at this point, felt like I was right there.

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Got a ticket!!! - I had 2 different browsers and only refreshed if it errored out. After about 5 minutes one let me through. Try not to refresh unless you get an error.

good luck, everyone!

Probably won't help, but keep screen shots.
Try again?

was it from a newly refreshed page or one that had been sitting a long time with the "cannot load page" thing in the middle?mothertruck wrote:GOT A TICKET!!!![]()

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
I am in line with a friend, and wanted to share a quick investigation into the queue and the big refresh question.
The ticketing page has time and every 15 seconds goes and gets an update of the waiting page direct from registration.inticketing.com.
In this it has a key_queue field that it sends.
This is your unique place in line.
I refreshed my ticketing page and the value was the same.
I believe this means it's harmless to refresh as far as your place in line.
It won't buy you much though, 14 seconds at most.
Good luck all!

Refreshing does not bump you, but it does not help you either. No need to refresh if you're in the queue.

I refreshed a ton when I got the timed out error. Once I didn't get that anymore, I just let it be. Good luck!moonelf wrote:was it from a newly refreshed page or one that had been sitting a long time with the "cannot load page" thing in the middle?mothertruck wrote:GOT A TICKET!!!![]()

I kept refreshing each time it "timed out." Out of panic, I opened more windows, but the original window was the first to let me type in my email address "key."PeacefulThunder wrote:Did you wait after it stopped loading or were you continuing to refresh the page?abigdeal82 wrote:TICKET ACQUIRED!!!! ok whew, that's what I did so perhaps I'm still in the running.. Wheeeee!!!

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
btw - there is a name change option after you buy the ticket. So if you use someone else's credit card you can transfer the ticket immediately after purchase.

Got my ticket!!!!! Beyond stoked for my first burning man
Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Do people need to refresh to get past the timed-out message box in the middle in order for the queue checking to work?trilobyte wrote:Refreshing does not bump you, but it does not help you either. No need to refresh if you're in the queue.
If you can get an answer to that, it will let some rest some.
I assume that if they can see the 15 second refresh happening, they should be good?

for those lucky, at what time did you start?
Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Message just appeared in the box in the middle
Thanks for your patience, the queue is progressing and tickets are still available at this time. Please do not refresh your browser, it will not improve your place in the queue.

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Sweet, got a ticket! I refreshed until I stopped getting the error then waited, got the email page, didn't select (1) from the drop down so I got an error and had to wait a few minuets to enter my email again, worked perfectly the second time though...
After a waaay too long break from the Playa I can happily say I'm coming Home!!!!

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
You can use any name on the credit card. The "confirmation" page has a link to change the names on the tickets.wandergirl wrote:question!! possibly silly.
(for a friend, I have my ticket)
does anybody know if you have to use a credit card in your name to purchase your ticket?
(of course, friend registered August 1st under the correct name, but does not have a credit card. friend is in queue like all y'all)
thanks <3
Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
GOT ONE!
I opened an original browser right at the start of the sale...this timed out but I left it w/o refreshing.
About 10-15 min later, I opened a Chrome browser that DID NOT time out and thats the window that let me through.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Same here, but by the time I had finished one of the other pages was asking for my email as well, and that page was opened probably 5 minutes after noon. I think they are limiting how many people can access the sight at a time.abigdeal82 wrote:I kept refreshing each time it "timed out."
