Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
I just purchased my ticket. I was waiting at the screen after i kept reloading and it finally did not give me a "page cannot be dispayed" message. Then finally just opened another window and refreshed and it asked for my email. So you may need to refresh people to get it to work.. I got on the second the link became available, but it may have been working for over an hour ago if i just refreshed who knows.

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Congrats on getting tickets! The queue has been progressing, albeit slowly.
Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Don't give up, Shakti!
I just got a ticket at 2;26 PM and I was waiting since noon (12:04 is when the systems started working on my computer and then my iphone).
I checked my iphone after reading some of the posts on here and thought maybe i was making a mistake by trying on both fronts though i was only going to buy one ticket. when i checked my iphone there was a window there just waiting for me to input my email address. sigh....
that still isn't what was happening on my mac. who knows how long that was there.
so hanging on these boards helped me.
i hope my message helps you.
there were still tix available as of ten minutes ago.
best of luck.

Do not give up, it's not over yet.
Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Tickets are still available, and I want nothing more to nab a ticket to my first Burning Man experience ever. I appreciate the thoughtfulness put into the system, but someone trying as feverishly as myself should really be able to pull this off somehow.

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
yup.......... just enter in the email you registered with. Oh, we found that it may take quite a number of 'retries' entering in your email until the system locates a ticket for you. Just keep trying and trying and trying...........
Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
What's asking for a code?wandergirl wrote:okay, my friend is freaking out that it's asking for a code and she didn't get one ...
I had to enter two codes:
one was here: and the code associated with the credit card, on the same line where I entered the card number.
EDIT: never mind, friend is silly...

OMG! Finally!
I just got my ticket through the Limited Sale--logged on right at noon and it came through at 3:25 pm. This was shortly after I changed my preferences to allow pop-ups and ALL cookies and opened a new window for a new place in the queue--it was in the new window that it finally went through, so quite possibly it was changing the settings that did the trick. Or maybe opening the new window.)
Good luck everyone still queueing!

Progress is slow, but the queue is still moving and tickets are still being sold. Congratulations to those who've been able to get tickets, and good luck to those who've been (im)patiently hanging in there!

Umm.... scary, bad news....
My friend just got an email with no explanation that his tickets were cancelled...
Tickets have been cancelled and a total of $409 has been credited to your account for:
(1) $390.00 - Burning Man 2012 - Burning Man 2012

In my case, my wife and I both used to same credit card to purchase our ticket today, and I think someone out there thinks that means we don't count as 2 people. It certainly wasn't clear to me that 'Billing Information' had to be unique for 2 married people ...

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
This is what happened to my friend. Him and his wife did not get tickets in the original pool, and signed up via step. Both got through today with their orders, both got confirmation #'s. He got an email receipt, she did not (perhaps in her spam, but he will check tonight). He then got a cancellation. He's emailed someone, but it totally changes the excitement of 'yay, we're all going' to one of being swiftly drop kicked in the nuts. Here's to hoping.

Exactly. From tears of excitement to tears of nut-pain.dougnaka wrote:This is what happened to my friend. Him and his wife did not get tickets in the original pool, and signed up via step. Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
I opened the page at 11:55 AM, and hit refresh every few seconds until the link materialized, clicked that link at maybe 10 seconds after 12:00 AM .... and then watched it hang for an over an hour. I'd just about given up hope when the registration popped up and I got a ticket!! Woot! I'm going home!

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
Your friend should hit the FAQ page and use the online form to contact support to try and get it sorted out.
I've just confirmed that the system is still processing orders, it ain't over yet.

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
It was a limit of one per customer, using the same credit card for mulitiple orders seems monumentally foolish to me.
Send an email to [email protected] with the details/specifics on both orders and an explanation of the situation (keep it short, they'll write to ask for additional details if they need it), hopefully somebody can help you out.

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
If the sale has ended (max tickets reached), this won't matter
Regarding the order form spitting back information. CAREFULLY make sure all info the billing address the CC info, name is correct, then submit. If it spits back at you - there are flags warning of incomplete or incorrect information. Every time the system spits an error - there is a reason and some older info for security and safety (CC info) has been deleted or erased. This must be re-entered. Remember their is a clock ticking during this entire process.
I and another calmly took part in this earlier, I was the lead, they were the back up. I had a glitch, Communicated that I had a glitch to the shadow (purchasing separately but for the same reason). We missed some fast PMs to each other, both ended up getting a ticket. You think that be fortunate - but now to deal with the extra burden of gifting the golden pass - and not make enemies at the same time. Extra ticket has a small list of potential recipients and then go from there if that list is exhausted with no takers.
Sure, could have tried and canceled the duplicate sale - but at this point jumping hoops for a low priority task is something that time can be devoted to something that is a playa related priority. Not to mention the upcoming adventure at Will Call. So making sure transferring the ticket from will call to identified recipient and then in turn in the parking lot distribute tickets. (In the meantime while this is happening I be building camp as soon as gates open).
Thanks to the powers that be - that 5 friends from afar - will be together once again on playa - took patience, took some kicks on the way, but Camp Envy will be represented on playa, in unreserved land.....

Don't buy extra tickets.

When the dust settled and we realized due to the crash of said ticket system - we realized two tickets were purchased. I assure you - the spare will have no problem finding an escort. Again for the reading impaired - it was not our goal to purchase more then one ticket - but just secure 1 - and if the system functioned - without crashing - one and done - not two in a panic glitch from ticket server.
I could have attempted to cancel the easiest sale by debt card, but other person used a different means involving more then one bank. Not to blow wind up anyone's skirt - but customer satisfaction or even a simple reply by an org rep - is a miracle when it happens.
Where was that "don't buy extra tickets" message back in January? if people followed that advice back then - we all be working on playa projects now instead of ticketing issues.
Now focus can be turned to playa projects leaving ticket issues behind us....
I know the sun is beating down bright and warm - but the second person in line was backup - nothing more and nothing less and the goal was purchase only one ticket - and when the desired web site offering transactions for one such desired ticket crashes and throws hiccups - over and over and over again - one must have a backup plan. We did - ticket server crashed or threw a tantrum - not my problem, but last chance required a back up plan. If I completed a sale - then the backup purchaser would gladly have dumped out of line so others can move up in line - but again when ticket server crashes - it's everybody for them self. Not my plan - but that is what we are offered. Obviously due to the issues brought up by many in this thread - the server crashed a few times and today was a busy day for you tending to panicking purchasers.Don't buy extra tickets.

Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
What a lame fucking joke this is...................
think you guys could make this any more fucked up?!
So let me get this straight...........BM org is voiding/cancelling tickets that were sold at higher than face value...........
Isn't that punishing the unfortunate attendees that have been left with little choice for tickets....?
And by voiding/cancelling these tickets........it seems you aren't penalizing the people selling over face value, as they would already have their money......Why would you cancel/void tickets just because someone has made a choice to pay what was necessary to get a ticket......BM needs to take responsibilty for cancelling public sales of the 10,000 tickets you guys pulled to distribute how you saw fit...............
WTF?
