Hi

I plan my first trip to burning man
but am coming alone from Norway.
am planing to come to San Francisco "better plane tickets"

1.BM bus can I bring with me everything I need on it? all of the water, etc.
I plan and bring \ buy a bike with trolley

2. Find some and join them. so someone who wants 34 year old man from Norway with
bike mechanic knowledgeable and lots of anxiety etc and love electronica and making art

3. get a car. this is logically the best. but very complicated since I have not driven for 2 years after and episode.

If you go with #1 you won't be able to bring all the water you need but if you get a small drink cooler you could use that and use ice melt for water. Bring it with water in it and just add ice every day or every other day.

Reno is a better place to start than San Francisco, unless the plane tickets are a whole lot cheaper. A whole big huge lot.

It is usually more expensive to fly into Reno, by how much I don't know

a can change planes in san francisco if a want. and the Reno.
its almoast the same $ but longer time like 10-15h and bad seat. since it is a long trip and I am sure am going to be littte stressed it is nice and could sit well

Reno is a lot closer and is all geared up to outfit Burners and theres lots of transportation to the playa.
And the shorter trip to the playa will make up for longer flight.
San Francisco is an extremely expensive city and not as geared up for visiting Burners.
It's certainly not the worst choice and it's a great place to visit on its own - I love San Fran - but it's not the flying in and jumping off to the playa place I would choose.

You can do San Fran but it's worth investigating Reno before you make your choice.

a plane tiket from san francisco to reno is easy to get.

There is the Burner Bus that can be taken from Reno to the playa.
I personally rent a car at the airport and make my supply runs all over town, then bring at least one passenger with me.
There is a push to eliminate as many vehicles on the road as possible, but my plans are so loose, that it wouldn't work for me.

You may want to read through the transportation board for transportation-related information. As for finding a camp, check the 2016 camps & villages board to see if there are camps recruiting members that interest you. It's awfully early in the season, you may want to check back if you don't see anything that interests you. Good luck!
