To do after Burning Man

Post by caffeineslinger » Wed Aug 26, 2015 6:24 pm

I'm starting my list now to make it easier next year.

So far I've got removing batteries from lights and electronics to prevent damage from leaking batteries. And I'm going to clean my bike right away. I swear this time.

Clean and dry out the Camelbak

Wipe down camp stove and take a toothbrush to the nooks and crannies of the fuel tank

Wash, fold, and ziplock all the playa-specific clothes!

If you are a tenter, take your tent to the big load laundromat, take your sleeping bag to the cleaners. Clean off shoes and get them conditioned for winter. I optimize for throwing most things in the washing machine. The dusty duffels are parked outside and everything from them goes through the washing machine before entering the house proper. Most important follow up with the people you met!

Locate In-and-Out.

Order:

one 4x4
two double-doubles animal style on sammich and fries
A liter of cola

Dig in and never look back.

Belch really loud, rub grease from food into your ruined cuticles.

Paradise!

Ironic, considering your username!
When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower.
When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.
