Got the solar power and battery combo all working. My boyfriend is having just way to much fun, he has the whole thing on switch boardsO.o. So swamp cooler is a go, bought all items and ordered the swamp cooler pads. Had a very hard time tracking them down. Also got some more food and water out of the way, first aid kit, baby whips, and ear plugs:)

Dare I say besides the shade structure nonsense we are good to go at this point   that can't be true lol

It's getting real now:)

OOoOOohhh, aren't those the smaller of the leather whips with that stinging snap that leaves just a small welt? ...be still my beating heart...

I prefer the taste of a refreshing orange or pineapple whip, but to each their own.

Bad news... out of the ton I thought we had I can only find two strings of el wire. but three battery packs... Always a bad Idea to put things in a place "your sure to remember" you almost always forget where that place is...
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

Found a friend-of-a-friend with a bulk/discount store club membership. We're shopping on Tuesday, so I need to pull together a list of stuff to purchase and a plan of attack for quick shopping, lest friend-of-a-friend become friend-of-an-irritated-and-increasingly-impatient-close-acquaintance.

Abbreviated session today, I set all the solar lights out into the sun will check on them when I get home from work at midnight.

I made my first iteration of what I'm bringing to M&G. Good but not great, I'm going to try it with applewood or maple smoked bacon next time. The things I put myself through for you guys....I swear.

Yesterday, cooked bacon and burgers. Packaged pickles. All in freezer. Sewed el-wire on kens coat, I need to purchase a thimble. Ouch.
Made lists. Mine is of events I don't want to miss on playa, but probably will and kens list is stuff we still need to do. :?

No, I think they hand sew in the third world too... Although, of course, in sweatshops, it's all by machine.

Bought new battery powered LEDs, because I'm not clever enough to pick up the "make it yourself" bit about them. Have to start working on a LED hat for night-time with them, & decorate the bike. Buying those lights is literally all that I have done so far. Not worried, I still have 26 days before I hit the dust.

Hee. :D

I'm thrilled--the load-in today went the most smoothly it ever has. Got my stuff down the hall and down to the first floor and out to the parking lot in 30 minutes; loaded and strapped down in 30 more minutes. An hour! A new record. :D Then Motz and I went for breakfast.

Please let this deadly new efficiency become a trend . . . 'cause costume-time begins tonight!

For now . . . I must have more coffee, so I don't fall asleep at my desk. :coffee: :)

I have to have my stuff on the Boston truck on the 11th!

Luckily I think I have nearly everything sorted out. Just a few optional crafts projects and a Home Depot run left to go.

I finally used some of that ruffle yarn! My backpack is awesome now.

(And I've got 5+ balls of the stuff left! What else do I have that wants to be purple and sparkly and ruffled, hmm...)

THATS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
High five for purple/UV LEDs! I like that the branches will stick up above your head, I'm assuming, so you'll be visible from every angle.

Not 'today' but recently:
Had the annual "Can I actually be gone for almost 2 weeks?" talk with my boss. Even if I request it January 1st, something hellish could be happening and leaving for 12 days would be a douche bag move. I got the OK good to go from the boss man.

Got the El-wire for the Fish bike. Test ran it around, using blue painters tape, to see how long it would be and if we need more. Of course we need more
We're gonna do the teeth in white and thinking about doing the tail in yellow. Gonna order the rest tonight. Cool Neon shipping to Denver, standard FedEx ground, only takes like 3 or 4 days.

In what way? :|
If you mean getting a pin-prick, I suppose. But its not like you don't stick your self at least 3.625 times anyway.
As for not finishing before you get there, and then not completely at all- Its a very looooooooong drive!

But, what can I say, I like to live on the edge
