I picked out the fabric I am going to use to make a bench cushion for the daybed. Now to look up how to make a bench cushion.

and that is my awesome sister, Delle and her equally awesome hubby, Kenny, who now have tickets, airline reservations, room in Reno pre- and post- burn, and and and and.......

OK, did more stuff tonight: had the fear of god put into me by a reminder email about container load-in, "August 11 isn't as far away as you think it is", etc.... so I attached a string of LEDs to the thrift store coat and then did a bunch of packing/organizing for the container truck. (I'm really proud of my LED attaching method--which I'm sure someone's done before--which was: sew sheer organza into a tube, stuff the lights into it, then safety-pin the tube onto the coat. Simple, elegant, removable for machine washing. Battery pack goes in the pocket.) My todo-before-container-loadin list is getting a little less overwhelming, yay.

Few more things taken care of tonight. Finished design and purchased a smaller banner for our little camp. Put together our First Aid /Pharmacy kite. Made the final "need to still buy list":) Very nice to see that list shrinking!

Picked up some vitamin/electrolyte replacement drink mix. It's "Ester-C" though from some company called Sisu. The health shop lady "claims" its superior to Emergen-C. Anyone wanna weigh in on that, or should I start a thread?

Got all my shots yesterday. I won't be getting Parvo, Distemper, Rabies, Tetanus, or Pneumonia while on the Playa. My arm hurts like hell now.

I made the first draft of a shopping list, started to execute it, got waylaid, ultimately decided to take my book to the new lounge chair and, well lounge.

But I can justify it, since up to this point I've been using a gravity chair which doesn't allow face down laying (for us non-triple jointed folk anyway) so I'm a black and white cookie of sorts..... oh, and lots of shorts and socks wearing has left me with raccoon ankles/feet (or whatever you call that hideous sight).

I don't have any tattoos, piercing or other body adornments I'll be damned if I'm going to let my uneven tan marks be my contribution to BM art this year.

There, that's my one item and I'm sticking to it.

....and no nudging over to the procrastination thread either!
