I am almost finished with my tricycle.

My BLUE knobby tires arrived today which will match the blue/yellow color scheme of my trike and the canopy.

I have already located the sources for my blue/yellow lighting and will be placing my orders next month.

Ordered disposable boot covers, (for inside the trailer) and the kind of dust masks I like best (the ones with the little plastic vent in the middle.) Also ordered a pair of mid-calf, suede, pull-on boots. I don't want to spend time this year lacing and unlacing my cute but stupid boots! Pull-ons with boot covers...that's the plan!

Secured a place to stay (at a friend's home along my travel route) pre and post playa for a good nights sleep before and a nice long shower after.

Wednesday, got tickets and bought a shemagh. Thursday printed out instructions and material lists.for a 10 x 20 monkey hut. Friday.... Went to work to make money for.some of this stuff... Saturday, bought a butane stove and a hammock.

Celsius, I love in Winnipeg, so far this winter (which really starts with snow in early October) has had steady 30 days of below -40.. With one day hitting -50 with windchill. I can't wait for 5 degree nights on the Playa, I'll be outside showering haha.

You will be especially glad on the way out. 3-5 hours' Exodus is most likely, but it took me 6 hours to get out of the city (at peak traffic) in two recent years. Plan accordingly.

It could take more, but it probably won't . . .

Ok, neither of the two dome tents that were gifted to me will work.
That puts me in my backpacking tent whose top vents zip nicely but the low ones don't.
On second thought, the smaller of the gifted tents would work if I sew a cover on the open mesh top area.
Anyways I have two alternate paths forward.
Looking at monkey hut designs, will decide on that soon.

You might want to consider a tent you can stand up in. It makes getting dressed (and undressed) a lot easier especially as the week goes on. My first year was in a smaller tent and it was getting to be a pain at the end. I bought a taller tent I can stand up in but still fits inside my monkey hut.

got two of these in the mail yesterday. I've been wearing one around the apartment to see how comfortable it might be. I think it will be fine.

Last year I got some little glass vials and lanyards and filled them with Playa dust and Man ash. They were wildly popular, WAY more popular than I expected.
I just placed an order for double the amount so hopefully I'll have some left after the first day.
