Scars, I have plenty of em..Been down alot of lifes roads.. Seem most wern't paved..Then there's the drunk Indian bike and 41 Ford that fell off the road..Had to send both to AA.. Some more scars showed up behind a bad habit of talking when I should-a been walking..I thought he said stand up, but he said shut up...to late.
Uhm, I do hope those are two seperate stories....mojo wrote:Oh yes, the Scar story event needs my hubby AAARRRR. He has a few good ones including: what happened when he sat on a glass coffee table and when his father ran him over with the family car.

Super Glue works for small cuts.
storebought superglue tends to be made of the cheaper Cyanoacrylates while derma-bond and other surgical adhesives are made from 2-octyl cyanoacrylate or n-butyl-cyanoacrylate.
regular super glue and "derma-bond" the stuff they use at the hospitol aren't exactly the same thing. From what i've read superglue isn't exactly toxic, it just has a much higher percentage of people who suffer irritation of the affected area compared to the dermabond.
i'm a paramedic, and i use regular krazy glue on small cuts to my hands and haven't had any problems. You don't want the glue to contact the broken skin, rather you want to use the superglue on the skin surrounding the wound to keep it closed.

Except maybe direct pressure using a thumb and forefinger where the nose joins the face for 1-2 minutes (cuts of blood flow). If that doesn't work, then it's time to think about dressings...skeetsh00ter wrote:for a bloody nose nothing works better than a tampon...at least thats what i hear. apparently its a common first aid item for wrestling teams.

I'm not sure how that would work any better than any other dressing. Unless you have really large nostrils and a super dinky tampon (which won't absorb much), theres no way that thing is fitting in your nose.skeetsh00ter wrote:for a bloody nose nothing works better than a tampon...at least thats what i hear. apparently its a common first aid item for wrestling teams.

I've heard worse ideas for a theme camp.....Perhaps the WhoWhatWhen listing would read:skygod wrote:You are blurring the line between leisure activities and first aid.Cabana Springs wrote:I am sitting here right now with a tampon up my nose. No problem. I prefer the plastic applicatior.
