anybody had sand fleas?

The ring road was on the beach in 2006.
There was even a lifeguard's chair.
It was an overwhelming image of a beach as I ate lunch there, like a fifties french film.
The tide never came in though.

i remember reading that it was around 12-14 mpg...didn't check it myself though as i was too insanely tired...didn't stop to sleep. the car definitely got better mileage, but had to sell it for rent money because i didn't get a job before i left...just hit the road.
