To me Burning Man is like food, no one can tell you if you will like it and you wont know till you try it.

I tried it.........and realized I was NOT who I thought I was in amny aspects of life. I also found out I was EXACTLY who I thought I was about other asects.

Buy your ticket and bring your own car. If you hate it you can leave. Just to see the playa lighted up at night like Las Vegas (when you know there is no electric infrastructure there) is worth the price of the ticket.

I know one person who had to leave - it was just too much stimulation for him (pussy).

I too attended my first burningman as a wide eyed early twenties initiate. I always end up explaining my experience in terms of visiting a city rather than a festival. Everyone is there, ALL kinds. So you have to explore and participate and find out for yourself. There will be people there you do not get along with. Just like any city. But... The fact you are even remotely interested tells me you should GO. GO GO GO GO GO
My first and only time was in 2000. It has been a long time since I was there, I've been dying to return but that's the way things go. Triumphantly I am returning this year. I kind of feel like it's my first time again since it has been so long, Ha.
Just make sure you read the survival guide!
