Just purchased the new Burb. I have to fly to Hotlanta Tuesday and drive it back here to Va. One more thing off the 2do list...I am not in panic mode....yet.

Newbie Burner. Crazy logistics have been ironed out - flying from Detroit to Reno, camping with the amazing Pretty Pickle Camp, volunteering with the Temple Guardians and Elliott's Bike Shop, taking the Burner Express, having tent/supplies trucked out by Videogasm...and now *PANIC* because I need to wrap my head around the little things.

What should I be focusing on RIGHT now?

Finalized a pack list this afternoon. Been reading tips on securing the tent, playa dust prevention, etc. Purchased a camelback. Got EL Wire shipment in the mail, now to sew it onto things...

Feeling excited. Nervous. Thought I'd share and ask. I can't be the only one

No need to panic, it sounds like you've got a lot of things sorted out. There are always a zillion little details, you'll get through them.

Don't panic, Em! Just move through your checklist, bit by bit. Maybe make a list of where you'll buy what. If you're like me, you'll probably still go to the hardware store 8 times, but, hey, at least that's not a dozen times. Also, if there's stuff you definitely want to buy from the 'net instead of in person, do that sooner rather than later to save on rush shipping.

I still don't know where I'll be living come August. No panicking at all at, though. It'll work out.

Hope, I totally am attempting EL-wire construction tonight!! Three feet of EL wire is way shorter than anticipated...luckily, I bought six packs of that...may have to ditch 1 outfit I was going to hook up with EL wire, in favor of more wire on two jacket/vests.

Yay for hardware stores! And lists. Lists are awesome.

3 feet is nothing! I have 20-30 feet on each of my nighttime jackets.

It's the final countdown. Ba nanana na na na nana. I'm working on outfits and piecing together my plans just a little bit at a time. EL wire is something I NEED to move on.

Personally I'd wait until the Resource Guide issue of the Jack Rabbit Speaks, there are usually a couple decent deals to be had on things like EL-wire. Unless you actually need the material now, hold off a couple weeks and save a couple bucks.
