Hit the pharmacy today for first aid stuff. Spent a small fortune on sunscreen. Sewed up a batch of neck coolers.

Added a row more of 5 LEDs to each of the 8 banks on either side of my LED shirt top. Why not? Grand total for the entire outfit is now up to 1440. Somebody stop me.

Re: One Item for BM a Day
Lots of odds and ends finishing up various components of my projects, signs, some painting, drilled a hole in my cup for a carabiner, attempted to fix 3 of 9 solar spotlights that have failed (fuck! I just bought them), put some hardware on a dry erase board, figured out a container to hold cameras, attached cord to a couple of cameras, made two different prototypes of projectiles, loaded a project into the car to test tonight and inadvertantly straightened up some of the piles in the garage. I did some ciphering and figured out I'm going to need a total of 4 cheap silver window visors fron the $1 store in addition to the 25' of Reflectix (I have a HUGE sunroof).

Ok, down to the WIRE. I have basically barely been on for the last two months I have been so insane with work. Here's what's happening in my neck of the woods...in the last 6 days. Leaving on Saturday at 3am...FINAL COUNTDOWN MOOOOODE!
1. Lost my job.
2. Moved in with my SO.
3. Moved all my shit into a storage unit.
4. "Finished" packing for the burn.
5. Got about half the alcohol on the truck/semi for the Golden Cafe/French Quarter (seriously, check it out, it's going to be amazing. 14 camp village themed after the French Quarter in New Orleans at 7:30 and Esplanade with more to do than you can imagine!!) Also finished last minute painting and got the racks put on the truck.
6. Headed to the Wine House to get bourbon and to the Army Navy Surplus store to get a new hat...mine was destroyed by my kitty...tonight.
7. Got a roof rack and lock box put on top of the fearless focus, Brittney.
8. Dying hair black tonight.
9. Putting dreads in tomorrow.
10. Found a person that desperately needs a ride...can't transport more than their body...they are ok with that.
11. This was a lot more than one thing a day.
Can't wait to get out there with everyone!

Re: One Item for BM a Day
Whew! Barely remembered in time to order my Vitalyte for in store pickup at REI. $16 for a 2.2lb jar which is enough for the whole week drinking 2 gallons of water a day. That's the cheapest price by far.. even Amazon was $20. I think today and tomorrow are the last days to order for in store pickup to make the delivery truck next Thursday. I called the location and spoke with a guy to confirm to see how late other friends could order theirs..
EDIT: My dear god this sounds like a commercial. I apologize. It's not. This stuff seriously is a life saver.

Made a test batch of brownies and had a taste.
Didn't get anything else accomplished.

I packed all my clothes in ziplocks and will use my water proof kayak bag to keep them dust free (or hope to, anyway), packed the bedding and now working on the toiletries and first aid stuff.
still working on the costuming thing. not much of a fashionista in the default world so other than putting some fake fur around my jacket collar, not sure what else to do.
Also, I may end up leaving early to drive to Denver for a couple days to see an old friend I haven't seen since 1999!!! That would be really cool. Then the beau can fly to Denver when he's off work to finish out the trip with me.

Received Roof Bag yesterday, and fit two duffles and four 5-gallon buckets inside. Plus there's space to slide in other items as well. (whew). Just over 72 hours from departure.

Received a package from ujonharley in the mail today! Never before have I seen "sheets" of soap.... so cool! Lots of little travel things I wouldn't have thought of, that will definitely come in handy. Thanks ujonharley!
Also picked up a ton of small spring clamps to attach a large sheet over my tent (double protection for the already sewn over mesh panels!), and a swiss army knife that was on sale. I've always wanted one of those. This weekend will be a big one for items of the day, as I finish my dreadfalls, complete the tent set-up, and test build our shade structure.

Re: One Item for BM a Day
It seems like ever since I got back from Burning Man.....in 2009, I've been working on something - almost every day!! The latest was the solar powered swamp cooler ( thanks Figjam ). Before that, it was new improved 1" EMT conduit support ( with those cool welded fittings ) for parts of the bar. Before that, I built 2 black light tapestry posters with black lights mounted on plywood. Before that it was a Burning man poster mounted in a picture frame, mounted on a stand, with stickers and momentos from past Burns ( like a Time Capsule poster ). There is no end ................

Newb mistake
Everything fit into and on the minivan fine, but then, took it to the truck scales, ouch!! Over weight by 250 pounds. Water for two not included. Tough decisions. So about, half of shade structure, half of camp furniture, half of maple syrup for gifting shooters, and gasp, our bikes
are staying home. A lot of our weight is in solar. Anyway, we shall hit the road tomorrow as a slimmed down camp that is Black Rock City bound. Blast off time! feeling better all ready
