Tarps for the monkey hut.. Two side panels and a top panel.. The two side panels will be sleeved on each end and the bottom..No bungee balls to mess with.. The top panel will be clamped and adjustable to wind conditions..

I have been snapped on the fingernail more than once by bungee ball ties..

I make funny sound and nasty words when that happens..

Now I have to go and reinvent the wheel..

Holy fucking shit! That's what I use and I grumbled at $15 for five pounds (still, it's cheaper than REI) when I bought a can three years ago. $50 is highway robbery.

My first attempt at doing anything like art for a long time.
I started by collecting old purple glass I found in the desert in Northern Nevada.
I then used a rock tumbler to smooth the sharp edges. I glued neckless hoops on them, painted the man, and clear coated them.
I had my grandkids wear them to school to be sure they were not moop.

I think I made 250 last year and was still finding stashes in my pockets and car during exodus. Got out and started gifting. It was nice.

Thanks all for the nice words about the necklaces I made.
It felt good making something to gift instead of buying something to gift.
I discovered the joy of gifting on the burn night last year, kinda late, I know.
It was cheap finger lights, but people really seemed to enjoy them, and I liked the reaction of a total stranger enjoying something I gave them.
Made me feel good.

Kat, sea glass was kinda the idea, but instead being desert glass. The old white glass, before like 1920, turns purple if left out in the sun. There is lots of it in the desert here in Northern Nevada. Even as a kid I would collect it.

Kat, I go there about once every two years. Glass beach is so cool to visit.
I love camping at Fort Bragg.
And the ice cream shop called Cow Licks has the best ice cream.

Back on topic, today I finished checking all my playa lights, cleaned off the dust, and ordered replacement batteries for them.

Found a ton of awesome playa gear by accident for pretty cheap at kragan oreily auto shop. Headlamps, deep cycle marine batteries, led flashlights, stuff that runs off 12v car outlet, work gloves. I will def be back when I have more time.
