I really didn't want to spend the money on one of those camel backpacks (thought I could get by with two water bottles), but I've been advised that's it's a worthy investment and makes a real difference at the burn. So... I caved. Someone on the the Boston burner list posted this. so I thought I'd share.

Finally cleaned up my sewing area and actually began working on my BF's kimono. Got lots of sewing ahead of me so glad to have begun at least one project.

KrisMuffen--I've had two camelbacks (well, one camelback and one platypus) and I don't like 'em. I use steel water bottles, and am happy with that. There are a lot of stuff that people say are necessary that other people find useless.

I love my camelback mule, 100 ounces of water and enough room for all the crap you need to haul like goggles, dust mask, sharpie, pad, sunscreen, blistex, condoms, etc...
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

I bought 2 platypus bottles with holsters and carried them with my military belt from former ROTC days and loved it. I doubt I would have enjoyed having straps scrapping my shoulders as I walked. So what Fishy said is right. Everyone is different.

Only way (well, technically 2) I am taking on playa this year - I got my breeches today! In two colors!!!
I was so stoked, I even did a photo session :D

I received my email confirmation letter for my disabled vehicle today from the Hotties. I need it to get from my campsite to the DMV, where I will get my sticker. I can now start customizing my ride. :D
