How is the rain on the Playa this winter? Rain=Crust=Good!

I do like the steering arrangement.

The Landmaster is currently articulated.
The multi-axle setup is functional.
Besides replacing tracks, it acts as the drive in water.

You'd never get that truck through the dmv as is.
It looks too stock.

The Stalwart has twin jet drive via the Rolls Royce engine.........does well in water.

From Playa Tom (Hushville):
"On Thursday I took delivery of a brand new car.
On Friday I did the insurance and spent an hour or two waxing it.
On Saturday it was time to break it in with a trip to the playa.
It was a good trip, I ventured a few feet out onto the playa but it is a little soft and I do not enjoy getting stuck. This time of year the playa should be under water but our drought continues.
I stopped at the Empire Store, it is slowly being brought back to life the shelves were not at all full but they will be fully stocked by the next burn. I had dinner at Bruno's the raviolis are still excellent.
It was a good day, my new car still has less than a thousand miles and a thin coat of playa everywhere.

Next weekend is the Burnal Equinox only six more months till the next burn!

I"ve heard of people putting hubs on all wheels, and, just having two drivers on hard surfaces...........
But, as stock, they tear themselves apart on pavement......they're just not made for that, it seems......
