-Make lists of the stuff you want to take beforehand with you and check it twice. I usually start a pile in June and continuously add to it over the next few months
-Make a list at BM for the stuff you wish you would have brought but didn't to use the following year for packing
-Bring a bike and repair kit
-Remember to let a little air out of your bike tires before you begin your travels or your tires will pop by the time you get to BM
-Don't assume everything is safe. Use your best judgment when climbing structures, hopping on art cars, or homemade amusement rides. Your life may depend on it.
-Say No to Drugs especially from overly friendly cute girls and guys; it's most likely a cop
-Don't bring anything you adore or prize to the playa, it will get ruined
-Make sure you drive the posted speed limits through all the towns on 447 or you will live to regret it
-Bring a small hand held broom and dust pan to sweep out your tent or RV
-Please do not pee all over the porta potties, it ruins it for everyone and do not shove regular toilet paper, teddy bears, tampons or ANYTHING in the toilets. It will clog them and the nice people who clean our shitters will have to manually unclog the screens
-Do not ride the green community bikes naked, it's freaking gross. In fact, don't think you can just go around sitting on just anyones camp chairs, cots or whatever bare assed without asking. Tis' isn't good manners
-Ask people before you take their picture
-Get TRAVEL INSURANCE even if you have health care. Freak accidents happen and emergency services are two hours away in Reno. It will be one expensive ride by helicopter or ambulance if anything happens
