No, he's right. Being "clever" with a cop is just plain stupid. Most of them just want to make sure things run smoothly, and it's called the stupid tax for a reason. You have to be stupid to do something so blatantly they have no choice but to bust you (my story similar to AntiM's is the BLM vehicle some hippie decided to pee on, not noticing the LEO's were right behind him watching. Normally it's a warning, he got a fine)

Passing baggies of sugar to get them to check you out could land you in Lovelock under "suspicion" for a couple of days while they "investigate" the substance. Don't be a dick to them & they have no reason to be a dick to you (usually).

A large number of police ARE looking to be a dick to someone, so don't attract their notice within a crowd and they'll probably be a dick to someone else.

I really don't like how you've characterized us here. We spend a lot of time and money over the year getting ready to go to burningman.
