I have been taking a 22" kettle with me for camping but the thing is awkward. Looking for something portable but with the same cooking area as a kettle.
Love the PK 360 but the price is too high. It would mostly be used for camping and going places as I have no need for it as my daily grill.
Anything out there

Think ahead about ash disposal. Short of a metal trash can with lid, getting rid of ashes without creating a MOOP or fire hazard is problematic. BLM might write you up if they find ash or food or grease droppings underneath your grill.

Re: Portable Charcoal Grill
Charcoal is superior to propane, and I have friends who are very serious about their smokers on the playa. But frankly I would just find a free beater propane grill and then recycle it after the event. The dust, as you know, eats any steel parts that aren't galvanized.
