What are you doing for Hallowe'en? We're throwing a party this year, and I'm haunting the trail next to the house- Blacklight LEDs light up dayglo-headed scary heads that I'm making from heavy tinfoil filled with expandable foam, and there'll be EL-trimmed pumpkins and creepy props animated by mechanisms liberated from old toys.
Just did part of my annual ritual, going to the carnival supply store for eyeballs and an inflatable rat.
I flirted with the idea of "being a participant" as a costume, dumping some playadust that I'd saved into my hair and walking around with a PBR, goggles and a headlamp- But it's too cold here in October to wear my favorite "playa costume"....

Since it's on a Monday night I'm planning on setting up the carport out front and scaring the hell outa little kids. A little haunted monkey lounge of sorts. I have a pro fog machine that kicks ass in enclosed spaces. Black plastic sheeting hanging like walls to give it a little maze feel with surprises around every corner. Black lights and strobes and all that jazz. Too bad there aren't any good prop shops around here.
