Do you think this strategy could use the reverse guy'ing like I was mentioning?

So keeping the guy lines flush with the structure as opposed to flaring out from it?

The lines would guy from one corner to the opposing base (something I am not able to show with my hi-tech grafix here). So the guy'ing would pull inward into a cube instead of outwards
(Quote cut down to smaller size)
It might work, to guy it like that. But to me the guy lines are kinda used to help pull the tension out and down.
Personally I feel there is enough room in BRC for you to guy your car port a tried and trusted way. Get some tennis balls and cap your rebar, its pretty easy.
I don't know much about "reverse guy'ing" (except for some weird things I've seen on the internet, that I wish I never saw, and I don't talk about) it might work it might not. Go with something that you know will work. Or try setting it all up at home and see how it goes.
We use an X between the legs of the carport instead of going outward. Works just fine for us.

slime? It works. I had some in a tire, and after a year or so, was unable to get any air into the tire because the valve was fouled with the stuff. I like the tire liners instead to prevent punctures. if you find an old inner tube, snag the little valve innards for a spare... the little thing inside the valve just screws in and out.

Thanks. It's taking much longer than I thought it would. I'm stitching the fur right onto the bike parts. There's lots of neck twisting going on.

THANK YOU! :) That is encouraging to hear it.

Sure I will try more...I thing I know what I did wrong, so it can be more feathery next time...but you know, for now, as for sewing beginner, my biggest struggle is to make a straight stitch :D

But I really like it...I used the tulle leftovers to improve my coat...
(it is still work in progress)

This weekend I got the silver tarp for the hut, also found a battery operated disco ball with LED's built into the mount at spencers for $18!
Hey CfM, I might put the disco ball in the shower...

WHEW! Finally finished sewing fur onto my bike. Next project is sewing the ends of a cut-up moving pad to make covers for both bikes (when they're folded). Then it's on to adding grommets to 80' of shadecloth! Oh yeah, and the coats, I have to get back to the coats! Still so much to do.

Ha ha ha...you guys are awesome.

I officially have all the days off I need.

Today's goal: bite the bullet and find a plane ticket.

I'm hesitant to get one without knowing how I'll get around, but I'm thinking I'll fly into Reno Monday, and worst case sleep in the airport or something...

Next big goal: where to camp. Since I'm having all my stuff delivered (hopefully) I can't just set up willy-nilly.

Misa, to get more fullness, increase the amount of tulle in each corresponding layer. Like, make the first layer 1/2 a yard, then the next one .75 of a yard (I am not a mathmetician), etc.

If you use this no-sew method it's easy to get fullness

Last night I put the bustle on my space pirate get-up, picked the fishnets out, decided to make it a dress, found my pstyle, started gluing crap on my beer helmet...emptied out my cooler from work/play a couple of months ago and hoped the rain would rinse it out for me...it didn't.

When on Monday would you be flying in. My goal is to be at the Reno airport no later than noon. My crew is then picking me up on their way to te playa. If you want I can ask and see if we can give you a ride (which I think we can). We might be able to give you a ride back too, but we are leaving Monday because I want to be there for the Temple burn.

Let me know soon so I can run it by them. If It was just me I won't care but its only polite to ask the 6 other people (how did it get to be that high?) if its okay.

Well, I'm fairly flexible, but it'd be later than noon.

I also need a ride that is stopping for sundries (ice, water, etc.).

we are stopping for water. We have these military collapsible containers that we will feel before we get to the playa with a faitly obseen amount of water and we will be picking up ice as well. I am not sure exactly where. Pope has done this before so I have to trust him in that part.

And If you need a camp, we are 6 people with a hexayurt and we are making a shower structure. We will have a few extra tents set up if anyone needs to get away from all of us.

Won't you be our neighbor? :P

Half an hour on hold and $255 later, I have all new pipes for the carport roofs. Each pipe is not expensive, but they're the 2 inch diameter long pipes, heavy suckers. Cheaper than new carports of a similar heft.
