Aussies need help on the ground

Post by Jay, Dee and Tee » Fri May 28, 2004 1:16 am

We are coming to BM from Melbourne Australia and we really need some contacts in the USA to help us coordinate things for when we arrive - it is difficult to do this without some friendlies on your side of the planet. We would like to organise a tepee, some bedding, a van or ute (pickup) with a tow-bar (combi is fine) and a tank of water that we can take behind the van. I know it's a big ask, but we have to put it out to the universe for help, we can't do this on our own

Highly recommend checking out the following, have heard nothing but good things about these folks helping those coming from abroad...

I second VerbenaMaya....make it easy on yourself..fly into Reno, cab to Hagey's ($20 max), get your supplies within walking distance of Hagey's Hostel...some nice person will stop by to give you a ride!!! Then just worry about nothin'.

We will check out the hostel. Thanks for the tip with where to land and about the cab.

I would imagine it would be like you guys coming to an event in the Australian outback. It's big, it's flat and it's hot...... but awesome!

Can't wait to get to your half of the planet....

Jamie.
