"removals van" is that like a moving van?
Search this subforum on "Box Truck." Bikes you don't even have to search for, just look at the titles of the threads on the first page of this subforum. That will get you started.

LOL "Fresh Knowledge" ???
You mean you're just too lazy to search. For a first timer, there is no such thing as "fresh knowledge", everybody else has been there, done that.
Try the main site, there's lots of good BASIC stuff there. After reading, you'll be prepared to ask questions here. Things like the survival guide, first timer's guide, etc., etc., etc.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

If you're looking for advice, let me bestow some upon you. One of the most valuable lessons I ever learned was: Only do one stupid thing at a time. For example, if you drink and drive, don't speed; if you speed while driving, don't be drinking. Speeding + drinking = doing two stupid things at once, a sure-fire recipe for getting thrown into jail.
The next most valuable piece of playa advice I ever got was this: There is only one commodity on the playa that has any value whatsoever: time. Use it wisely.

johnyevans, read the survival guide.
http://www.burningman.com/preparation/e ... index.html
22 main links, or if you download it and print it out, 16 pages. If you do only one bit of research for yourself, let it be reading that. (Bikes and stuff are under "Recommended Reading" under the "Required Reading" area).

Start: http://www.burningman.com/first_timers/
Then: http://www.burningman.com/preparation/
Then: Explore the site
Then: Return
Some very helpful information is provided and from the impression I have been given from the reading material. It is an event you need to be prepared to survive at. 1st timer here too, but I wouldn't leave home without reading the information provided in the two above links.
