Clarification: Events on the PLAYA for Newbies

Wondering if there will be events at Burning Man that are designed for folks never before experiencing Burning Man. Events that cater to questions and thoughts and possibly of social significance for someone never before experiencing this kind of event. Maybe even support qroups?

That's the playa calender. (Note, I believe they are still adding events so check back later.) If you find something for newbies, great, post it here so that others will find it too. If not, maybe you'll find something that is still interesting to you and you'll dive right in.
Although it may be heresy to say this, some people find that hanging out at the cafe (you do not have to buy) is a good place to get your bearings.
The playa calender will be available in printed form at the event.

I am imagining a "Campfire Camp" where grizzled old-timers (or those who play them on the playa) sit around and tell legendary stories to fresh-faced newbies. If you find it--take everything the old-timers say with a chunk of rock salt. Leg pulling is common on playa. Something about the cacaphony background--they believe messing with your reality makes you into a better (bitter?) person.
