What is the size of BRC?

Post by berlinsnkrz » Mon Sep 06, 2004 6:42 pm

This was my sixth burn, hadn't been back in a couple of years...
BRC seemed huge! Now, can someone tell me the stats of how BRC has grown, not just population wise but scale? How many square miles is it?
How far is the man from center camp?
thanks!

(now at home, feeling odd, missing BRC, not wanting to go back to work, planning for next year... peace!)

Something like 10 square miles.
the formula is {2[2(pi)a-2(pi)b]}/3 where a equals the distance from Sedna to the Man and b is the distance from the Esplanade to the Man. Look up those distances on the main site and plug it in for a closer estimate. 3.14 is good enough for pi in my book.

Man to the center of Center Camp: 2400'

The first road (Esplanade) is 2100' from the Man, the next is 2500', then every 200' (400' between 4:30 and 7:30 and fourth and sixth road), all roads measured from center line

Damn by those measurements I must've walked a good 15 miles a day, damn next year I'm definitely bringing a bike!
Doubt everything. Find your own light.

Dang--wrong formula.

[(pi*b*b)-(pi*a*a)]*2]/3 where a=the distance from the man to the Esplanade and b= the distance from the man to Sedna. And to get miles, you're going to have to calculate the number of square feet in a square mile.
