Here's my completed (widened) Playa coat, finished today. I also added an inside pocket, always a good idea.

I purchased an electric mobility chair I spotted on craigslist, 100 bucks. Pieces breakdown for loading on my golf cart, but its a heavy sum-bitch. Owner said it had been passed down thru 3 family elders, it still runs super strong in rabbit mode. New experience driving it onto a transit bus today. It is a 3 wheel job and is a little tippy on grades, I can pop a wheelie on it, it has outriggers on the back.
All my Roma tomato plants are producing solid red fruit now. I've been using 'em to make spaghetti sauce, but I can see I need to make salsa to avoid waste. I might hot-water can a few jars this week. Abundant living on just seven huge tomato plants.
Darlene is swapping vehicles with me,( her truck and my electric golf cart). I'm bringing the 2 stroke golf cart on a trailer behind the pickup.
Set up the kitchen on my front lawn under the carport test camp. Stupid neighborhood dogs pissed on my bedding, laundry time and I need to roll that shit up when not in use. I must hippy (puppy) proof my set up.

Alas Sham I'm CERTAIN it will not fit you and just to be sure I'll be locking it up at camp! ;-0
Today: Pretty much finished buying my food, relying on canned and packaged mostly and bought lil 1/2 size cans. Focusing mostly on small bites, salty snacks and easy-to-cook stuff.

Re: One item for BMan 2014 a day
I did something stupid and added something to my plate. I just ordered a bunch of big ribbon and bows.
I always thought it would be fun to do a free gift wrapping stall, and never managed to get around to it. Didn't think traffic by my camp would be enough, and couldn't do it on the playa without shade. Then it occurred to me that the Souk was probably a good place for this. Ample shade, traffic, etc.
So one day I'll take my folding camp table, chair and supplies(Just ribbon and bows. No paper or moopy shit) and head out to do free gift wrapping. The sign will say "We wrap ANYTHING" And I mean anything. I HOPE it gets weird.
Not sure if this will go over well, but like I said, it's been bouncing around in my thick skull for two years, and this seems like a good time to do it.

Honestly, I would be quite disappointed if I didn't get to wrap at least one pecker. Though it might be fun to bring a few condoms and hand that over instead.lucky420 wrote:Ok and now I'm visualizing a line of shirtcockers...VultureChow wrote:I did something stupid and added something to my plate. Re: One item for BMan 2014 a day
Finally figured out my battery charger and ran a test charge on 6 of the 100 salvaged lithium cells I was planning to use to power everything this year and got some bad news. I expected them to be a little below factory spec of 2600mAh, but they are more like 500-1000, so I'm having a bit of a "what now" crisis on that front.
The good news is I have a backup plan... the bad news is the backup plan is kinda crappy (Lead acid cells)

Finally ordered the parts to build this: http://www.instructables.com/id/Large-p ... /?ALLSTEPS
I was going to cut it from my project list but if it does in fact get cold this year (unlike last years' freakish night warmth), it will be a nice thing to have at camp and/or take along with me to gift some heat to strangers out by the trash fence... and yes I will mind the burn scar potential.

I got rubber stamp production finished up, tag designs done, and made a dent in dog tag production. I also booked more time on the laser, since it'll take more time than I originally anticipated to get everything that I want done. Almost there...

I LOVE that idea VultureChow! You'll probably have to wrap some titties too. Thanks tamarakay...definitely locking the coat up!
Today I pre-cooked my bacon and put it in the freezer. Actually I don't cook it as far as this image...I just part cook it then crisp it up on the playa with hardly any grease.

VultureChow, it might be worth it to learn a few simple knotwork tricks for the inevitable body part wrapping requests:

I've been practicing drinking warm white wine since around 1pm... a friend came over with fresh nectarines, and when I asked her what she'd like to drink, it was wine. She came to visit and trim my hair. She left a few hours ago, but I've been sewing, and it just seems like wine goes with that, too! *hic*
so, if my playa clothes look funny, or my hair is wonky, well, now you know why.
