Mail drop location in Reno

Postby magnusb » Mon Jul 21, 2014 10:06 am

I've been the the burn 4 times now join a few theme camps, but am planning on making my own little camp for 15 friends for the first time. But coming from europe it has been harder than I though to find a place in reno that would accept mail and packages, that we need delivered before the burn. No self storage offers this service, and all the mail drops I found are either only for US citizens, or have around a square foot of space for mail delivered. If anybody could give offer advice we would be very grateful,

love

Try either the UPS Store or the US Post Office - both of which allow mail to be held. The other option is the hotel you're staying in (it might even be worth staying a night just for this) - but check with them first to see how much mail they will hold

Poste restante should solve your problems. Here is info. You want to make sure it goes to Vasser St.branch if mailing to Reno.

In the United States, the U.S. Postal Service uses the term “general delivery” and reserves the term “poste restante” for international mail sent to general delivery. Mail is addressed as follows:[13]

For example Mrs. Jane Q. Smith GENERAL DELIVERY Washington, DC 20090-9999

In the ZIP+4 code, the +4 code for general delivery is 9999. The main post office in a community will hold such mail for up to 30 days.[14] According to the USPS website, "In medium to large cities with multiple ZIP Codes, you’ll want to make sure senders use the ZIP Code for the area’s main Post Office."[15]

DOWNTOWN RENO-NEW
135 N SIERRA ST STE A1
RENO NV 89501

Or the one by the Truckee River downtown. I remember going to the one by the freeway to get my passport renewed, but I got my mail general delivery downtown.

It's just a kiosk. But when I did the search on the usps website, it came up first.
