Search & Rescue Weather 2014

Post by trilobyte » Thu Aug 14, 2014 12:49 pm

I've received this wonderful message from Backbone on the Burning Man tech team....
Some of my crisis response friends have setup a high resolution weather report for BRC from Iceland using the Search and Rescue weather service.

"In crisis response/search and rescue, we try to get higher resolution weather reports than on TV. One Icelandic forecasting group is going to publish their high-resolution forecasts for Black Rock City Weather at http://bit.ly/brcweather every 12 hours for the next three weeks. Note the options and the time slider bar on the bottom (and play button). Feel free to share. It is a gift from Iceland."
Thanks, Iceland!!!

First, they have my favorite Eurovision act, and now this seriously cool map?
Iceland, you rock.
When he lights his streetlamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower.
When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.
