Black Rock necklaces.

Post by HughMungus » Mon Nov 01, 2004 9:48 pm

This is the first batch from the rocks I picked up in 2001 and 2004. PM me with the number you want and your address. First come, first served. I'll be making more soon.

Dallas,

You're the best. I like the medium-small ones, like 6 or 7. I'm sure you'll have a lot of demand, though, so I'm not picky!

thanks,

Mike

The necklaces are beautiful, but I wouldn't dream about taking TWO out of circulation. I prefer #7, so I guess you can make #6 available for others. Thanks!

Thanks. My first attempts at creating anything like it. It's mostly just drilling holes at this point.

I did. I think you wanted 4. I need to know which four from the ones that are currently available (the ones with numbers are the ones that are left). YOu can also wait for the next batch which might have some better ones.

DallasPlaya ,
Thank you very much for my necklace. I had forgotten all about it and thus was very surprised. I coincidentally bought a rock tumbler as a Xmas present for my housemate and having been inspired by your rock drilling and polishing adventures, on your other thread, think it might be a fun little pastime.
We moved into a house about 7 yrs ago that was owned by a lapidary. While cleaning up the yard we found waist -high buckets of rocks. Every kind you can imagine. We did'nt have the heart to toss any of them and instead we filled trashcans full of them, and put them on the side of the house. Thank you for the inspiration to get started on that again.
Good -Luck!

getting up the nerve to try ceramic in my toy. Would the rough stuff be too harsh--my guess is that stoneware is a lowish moh and porcelien lower still. Or am I talking through my hat?
