Quick Hello

Post by Paint » Mon Jan 17, 2005 5:33 am

I am Michael (known as Paint in many an MMO). My wife Sarah and I just bought tickets to 2005. This will be our first Burning Man. Looking very forward to it as we have been watching, wanting and not doing since 1997. Not sure where to begin in terms of participation, volunteering, costumes, survival. Time to read up!

Ugh...nothing like botching your first post in a new forum (new to me). This was meant to be a reply in the sticky thread "Hello and Welcome... What's your name? Tell me about You..." not a new thread. Sorry...

Well hello there! And did you know that it is a custom here that all newcomers have to buy everyone on Eplaya a round? We happen to have a bar for just that...shouldn't be too hard to find (if you haven't already!)

Cheezus girl! THAT was a hell of a time-out. Here's hoping your mother is doing much better.

We've missed you, _tears_... Don't stay away so long, kiddo!

Hola Paint. One thing you will want to keep in the back of your mind is the annual Meet&Greet at Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro (in all likelihood in Wheeeee!ville again this year) Thursday evening beginning at 6 p.m. Many of the characters that will inflict, uh, I mean correspond with you in this forum will attend. It's a great way to put some faces with the typing and if we're in luck again, Rob The Wop or his designated server will bring along the absinthe again this year. Yummmm!

I was wondering if Pyro was going to host again this year! Right on! This year, come high wind or dust, I'll be there!

If it is warm enough, we may bring along the ice shaver i.e. our old-fashioned hand-crank cast-iron Japanese snowcone machine.

Although Not Good in high winds, then you get dustcones which are not yummy.

Ha! I bet right about now you could sell dust cones to burners missing the playa!
