When does the man burn?

Hi there,

This may be the most simple question ever but I want to know when does the man actually burn?
And when is the best time to leave to avoid getting stuck in lots of traffic?

The Man burns Saturday night around 10:00 PM or so. The Temple burns Sunday night. Spend Monday mooping and helping others strike their camps and leave Tuesday morning early to avoid the long lines of exodus.

Just to be 100% accurate;

There is no guarantee that The Man burns on Saturday.

And least amount of traffic on gate road is Thursday.

Whatever time you choose to leave will not be the least amount of traffic. It rarely is. We've only breezed out the Gate once, one of the years there were a lot of whiteouts and plenty of less stout hearted folks bailed early. The pulsing works, but it not quick. Be rested for exodus. If you have a flight, leave the day before.

Last year we breezed out of the city at about 7 am on Sunday. Had no sleep after the Man Burn and we missed the Temple Burn, but at least there wasn't traffic

This year I hope to stay later; traffic be damned!

We left early morning/afternoon on Sunday, the day of the Temple burn, and we breezed out with only a 10 minute wait at exodus or something. Kind of a shame to not see the temple burn, but at the same time, we had such a wonderful week that it really didn't matter.

You can also wait until Monday afternoon and traffic is substantially curbed. Tuesday has even less, and they really want you to GTFO by that point.

Except last year, when a Monday afternoon exodus Amber Alert had us sitting in traffic for 7 hours.
