Fuck yeah.
I've done collages in the past using Mormon Sunday school posters ad cut outs from adult toy catalogs. Any art, as long as it is not MOOPy, food, or costumes.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
Art is going slower than I like, but I can only force it so much. I did get four "hurdle" pieces I was hung up on finished, and another looks to be done today, so that will help me get going on smaller works. Ish, I can only sit at the table for so long.
Already began to stuff the bins. Need to mount the calendar prints art. That's filler, but often good fun stuff.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
One box/bin of art packed. Some stuff from last year, a lot of Paul's interesting photo essay pieces, some of my smaller original pieces. Have another bin staged to take the larger canvases. Sorting Fishy's contributions, so much strange.
Got a little red cart today which hold the Gifting Box just right. The HFWA Mobil Unit. Will be perfect for all the smaller trinket items which are hard to place with the Home. CAn be parked by the gallery, or I can take it our for walks. Yay!

One sake cup bit the dust, and a few things need some fiddling with. But thank you so much, there's plenty which is "playa ready" and will be so much fun.

Hubby and I are making it a point to come by the Home this year. We found a *fantastic* velvet painting that we'll be putting up for adoption as well.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
Sorted the boxes of Interesting Things into a bin. Most will go into my Gifting Box. Put what is not ready for the playa into another box which I'l get to later. No more time for new projects or fixing up, eek!
Looked at pics of my old paintings. Some of those were good! Newly inspired. I will paint until the last minute. I always do.

Oh I love the house already. This is my first year and I've got a few random pieces of art I've stumbled apon, and a few I've done over the years that I will be bringing by for adoption. Hoping to adopt one as well, my walls have looked the same for far too long.

Looking forward to your art... and maybe meeting you, if I'm in camp. It is a daytime installation, with flexible hours.

Oh Ratty! The big rubber ducky came home with me to live at my house this year. He'll go back next year, transformed. Did the big wall fan make it? If so, I didn't see it. The wooden duck was fabulous. Thank you!

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
I'd like to thank everyone who made art, adopted art, donated art, or simply came by to browse and say hi. Fishy, thanks so much for the heaps or art and stuff, a lot has already made its way into new homes, and the rest is ready to become next year's offerings. A shout out to my camp mates who helped me curate the Home, stamp art cards, and generally be rocking. Much love to MyLarry, who does the heavy humping. You ALL made it happen, and get much love and many hugs. The Home was a roaring success. Of the pieces ready for playa adoption, less than a dozen came home, and most of that was generic stuff, not original photos and one small painting.
I am so fucking happy, thank you.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
Yes, I think the big fan went over to you with the wooden ducky. It was painted with a island theme, done in glitter paint and coated with clear urethane to prevent glitter moop. (Quite ugly but hypnotic).
Thank you for letting me be part of your art. It was fun and your gallery was marvelous. I stopped by all week to see and to bring new connoisseurs. That was funny when my neighbor followed me over to your Home to get that painting. It sat in the sun all week at her site but she claims it's going into her office.
I hope you come next year and do it again. You made alot of people happy.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
Remind me which painting.... I know I was shown, but things get a little mashed together in my head.
I never did see the fan, but then, that's not unusual when I miss donated art. Puzzling out the adoption cards is fun. I just hate the ones where they don't tell me what the fuck they adopted.

It was a 16 by 20. Yellow background. Girl figure in black with 6 arms. You probably didn't see it. She begged me to give it to her and I insisted she come and adopt it. She filled out a card but that may have been for a 2nd piece she loved.

Mine is in first stages. I don't have a picture from 2010, so must go digging.
I plan on posting pics I've taken of individual art pieces. Not many, I forget to document well.

Oh yes! Enthusiastically. I have her card in an album, I'll have to hunt it up, scan it and post it. The woman was very much in love with your nude.Simon of the Playa wrote:did the sitting nude i abandoned at your doorstep get adopted?

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
mission accomplished.
i for one could not believe that anyone would want to throw her away, which is why i went diving that day.....i could almost hear the oils cry out "save me and bring me to the desert"
so i did.
so much for NOT listening to the voices...

Ah, the voices. Mine are reasonable. The rest? Yikes.
Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
Anti M, I adopted a lovely little oil called Fire Bubbles, painted by you... I absolutely LOVE it!
Also got to learn all about Paul and his wife, read all the articles about her and looked at the pictures. (I hope I have the name right) He said in a month or so, there will be a house inspection, to ensure all the art is properly displayed in our homes. I'm so looking forward to that!
Sorry you weren't there the times I was there.
Well, there's always next year! (they say, next year was better)
I have a few things I was going to bring for your Home For Wayward Art last year, until I realized they were too big. Maybe now I can bring something more appropriate next time.

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
Ah, fire bubbles! An accidental painting.... was using leftover paints at the regional, added the bubbles when I got home. It is a nice piece, even if it was unintentional.
Too big? While I do prefer smallish pieces because they're better for traveling burners, I've had sofa paintings, I always have framed pieces, and this year a giant 36x48 canvas! Every one got adopted. I appreciate and can work with almost any art. Almost. Heh.
Paul is terrific! He's so interesting and does such wonderful work. Like family.
Sorry I missed you too. Hugs!

Re: Anti M's Home for Wayward Art 2013
I've promised myself to actually make a something or two this year for The Home.
As it stands I only donated a sexy frame (with 3 vintage shoes on top) framing a picture of someone's cat.
I wanted to remove the cat picture and insert something sexier but Mr. Delle was adamant that that particular cat was IMPORTANT to the integrity of the piece. That made me laugh. And so it was...
The Fire Bubbles painting is just beautiful and I know that Patsh is going to smile each and every time she sees it over the years.
