Pole construction tips?

Hi folks,

So our new camp Celtic Chaos (at 10 & A) will feature a "medieval stripper pole" (to quote our own Facebook blurb). Only problem is our castle doesn't have a roof so we're wondering does anyone have any tips on supporting a pole on a platform alone or do we need to build an enclosure with a ceiling for it?

I googled "portable stripper pole"
seems like there are some options.
