I would like to thank Drawingablank (or Bobbin to his fellow Barbiebarians) for updating the Barbie Death Camp webpage www.barbiedeathcamp.com. We were having all sorts of IT problems because I for one am borderline retarded and was unable to attach a link to order BDC&WB shirts and hats. If anybody would like to order BDC&WB swag/garb just go to the link and have at it. And the May newsletter is due out in 10 days. If you'd like to be on our newsletter list (and you need not be a Barbiebarian to receive the newsletters) shoot me a PM with your email address (keeping in mind occasionally there are NSFW videos attached, like in the April and upcoming May newsletter) and I will send it along.

I was looking for some further information on the Tour De Franzia on Thursday evening.
We recently purchased a pretty kick ass 3 person bike from a retired burner, and think that shlepping and dispensing box wine around the Playa would be pretty kick ass. In one of the last BDV newsletters and on the volunteer sign up page it basically says "strap a box of Franzia to your handlebars, then ride around giving people wine." Is that pretty much the gist of it?

I'm assuming its BYOF. Oddly, has anyone had trouble taking boxes/bags of wine through different elevation changes?

The elevation changes make no difference whatsoever. And the idea of having the wine strapped to our handlebars was Felony's idea because most of us don't have three-wheelers. We have added a Tuesday afternoon Tour de Franzia as well. And we do expect people to bring their own boxes of Franzia. I'm thinking about white for Tuesday and red for Thursday, using either an ice chest or the refridgerator in my RV to get the wine chilled. I have a basket on my bike so transportation will be easy. We'll probably go en masse around several blocks near our camp, making it a party on wheels. Who knows, maybe we can even get Barbie's Mobile Whorehouse to tag along blaring music and schlepping supplies. It is a work in progress. One thing is for certain: sobriety will not be rearing its ugly head those afternoons, that's for damn sure.

Sounds like a lot of fun to me!
We're tricking out one of those little bike trailers, that you put kids in, to match our new bike. We haven't test driven the big bike with the trailer yet. Theoretically we could put a medium sized cooler in the trailer.

Shit yeah, Elorrum! Bring that weather proof boom box you're working on!
Alright! This is gonna be a lot of fun. Cause, like, you know the rest of Burning Man is pretty boring.

If the goal of the Tour De France is to finish the race first, should the loose goal of the Tour De Franzia be to see who can get their box'o'wine drank first?

Okay I will bring a box of each color for your trike then!

Personally I think Illy should bring an extra box to wear to the Meet & Greet.

HAHAHA. Wear a box of wine to the MnG!
"Hey, want a sip from my spigot? Its real tasty!"

Though, I have a feeling that I might be a little too big to fit in a box of Franzia. Unless they make Costco size boxes of wine.

So bring white instead and chill it somehow.

Though, considering BDC&WB has been pouring red wine for the past 12 years (25 gallons or more during the week not including the Naked Bike Ride & Pub Crawl and Meet & Greet) we've never had a complaint yet. Now shitty red wine, yeah, you might have a point there Kevin.

Goon - makes up 45% of Australian wine sales and even has witty drinking games such as Goon of fortune named after it.

Some of it's not even that bad - buggered if I can seem to find it in the states though.

Would happily buy some to gift to BDC if anyone can help by either knowing where it can be got and or accepting the wine in the post and packing it in
