I didn't get a chance to say thank you Mel. The quotes game was a genius idea, I really liked it, and can't imagine how much time it took to put that together. Thanks again.

I have to say that I was the proud recipient of the first and the original eplaya meet-n-greet spread sheet. Nothing will ever top that! I'll bring it next year for all to see.International Incident wrote:Hey all,

Re: Eplaya Meet and Greet 2013 - What are you doing?
SO I have to be very honest here 95% of the people I met I had noooo idea who they were after telling me their eplaya name. I did play it off as I knew them cause I did not want to be an ass and say yep I have no idea who you are. So PLEASE for next year do name tags with aviatar pics with them. I know more people by avitar pics then by names.
I'm also for wend. As thur is core burn and Friday is our wedding, yes you are all invited. No idea where it will be as of yet.

How about YOU do 44,000 tags with avatars and names on them and try to guess who is going to show up for the M&G. Some people change their pictures often, so try to pick the ones that most people will notice. You have 10 months to do this in your spare time if you start now.

If it would help, I could probably write a script that does the dirty work of downloading avatar images for all members and saving them as a series of name.jpg images in one zip file. Of course, having the images sorted doesn't get us any closer to knowing which to print...Shambala wrote:How about YOU do 44,000 tags with avatars and names on them and try to guess who is going to show up for the M&G. I think the names were pulled by hand from a thread like this in which people announced their intentions to attend, in addition to some freelance additions based on anticipation/hope/likelihood.BoyScoutGirl wrote:If it would help, I could probably write a script that does the dirty work of downloading avatar images for all members and saving them as a series of name.jpg images in one zip file. I'm working on my Stinko the Wonder-Dog costume as we speak. He's a good dog.....but, I have to have a "Fuck You!" name tag from RD. This year I will be bringing my raspberry jam again.

Re: Eplaya Meet and Greet 2013 - What are you doing?
MDF, I also make a 'spicy' version of the bacon spread that I modified to use serrano peppers and tequila. Instead of using maple syrup like I use in the bacon-bourbon jam and instead of the brown sugar, I use white sugar and agave syrup for a 'lighter' taste with punch. It's great on flour tortillas or corn tortillas, and mates well with Tabasco or Tapatio or Cholula hot sauces. I bring any of it to my hispanic friends, they make sure I get tamales at Christmas and New Year's. I consider it an equitable thing to gift them, and they love it. One of my buddies is going to help me figure out a method to make bacon taquitos, so that's in the future, too. I already make great bacon quesadillas.
