2021 MOOP MAP

Post by FlyingMonkey » Mon Sep 20, 2021 12:25 pm

Yeah, I know the Renegade Burn was not an officially sanctioned Burning Man event & probably didn't have a dedicated LNT team to stay after the party. Having said that does anyone know how the Playa looks now that everyone has gone?

To be honest this is one of my biggest concerns about the Renegade Burn. Does it look like the day after Electric Forest of did someone "organize" a Playa restoration team to stay behind & clean up after everyone.

How did the highway look?

Any updates from locals or people who stayed late are greatly appreciated.

I was there until Tuesday afternoon and I can say with certainty that it was looking really good out there. Much less stuff laying around than at the actual event, no jugs, barrels, boxes or bags of abandoned things. I was riding around a bunch and picking up very little moop Monday and Tuesday. Much of what I did find was from past campings, not the current one.

The most moop that I did find from the renegade was cardboard shrapnel from the MANY mortars shot off.
Sooner or later, it will get real strange...

Outstanding. That's very reassuring to hear. Score one more for Team Renegade.

I never realized how moopy fireworks were until the morning after Anubis burned in 2012. Lots of little cardboard disks everywhere. The trick is to make sure your LNT team actually shows up and hopefully early in the morning before the winds pick up.

Thanks Jackass! (totally sounds like something I'd say while driving)
