Small Hadron Collider is an interactive LED light-art installation that lets users launch “particles” of light along a long LED strip that rises from the ground into an 8-foot high loop. Two people on either side of the loop can launch particles at each other by jumping up and down and watching them collide.

Small Hadron Collider was selected as an Honorarium project in 2020, we're super excited to finally be bringing it to playa this year. Honorarium projects are partially funded and expected to bridge their funding gap through fundraising. We are running an Indiegogo campaign to fill our funding gap and help offset the higher than expected costs since our original grant was awarded 2 years ago.
