Welcome to eplaya.

I'm all for more live music, but how do you know the camp will be on the Esplanade? The placement questionnaire doesn't go live until next month, and then there's a two-month window to fill it out...

Welcome back to eplaya, then!

Will there be any time for jam sessions? I know a musically-inclined virgin who'd love to pick and play bass or guitar or back-up vocals or even drums.

yes there absolutely will be! we keep a separate jam dome/area for smaller live music acts and Impromptu jam sessions! we relish & love that kind of thing!

We would love to play.

We played your stage three years ago and had a blast!

Here's the music:

We can play more than one slot. In fact we would love to play more than one slot.

so, where was transmorphagon last year, don't see that camp on the map.... there is a sunset trip at about 8:30 with a red and black MOOP pile in the middle of it

that would be us espresso… and thanks to our lovely gray water disposal that didn't come when we contracted, thus leaving a tarp behind and a black mark against an otherwise perfect moop map. :/

Transmorphagon last year joined the Sunset Trip Village, which consists of Camp Charlie (charlie the unicorn art car), the Dirty Beetles (booglaoo art Bus), us, and Badlands… this year badlands has disbanded and the Tasty Noodles have stepped up to take their place… we have some AMAZING stuff planned for this year!

The thing about contracting other people for services is that your camp is still responsible to get it done. From an LNT standpoint, there generally should be a contingency plan for cleanup if your provider doesn't show. I don't mean for this to sound like it's singling out your camp specifically, it is something that all camps who make arrangements with outside service providers need to remember.

We played as the Colony on your stage one year. I think it was 2011. We played a few originals, covered a couple Black Keys songs, played a rendition of Heroin and ended with a massive funk jam with guest vocalists off the Esplanade.

"LIVE BANDS" does that mean we can't have Grateful Dead,
Theory of a Dead Man,
Dead Kennedys,
Hollywood Undead,
Dead Letter Circus,
Dead by Sunrise,
The Dead Milkmen,
...And You Will Know Us by The Trail of Dead,
The Deadly Hume,
Dead Can Dance,
The Dead Boys,
Dead Again,
Deadbolt,
Dead Hand Projekt,
Deadlock,
Deadsoul Tribe,
Deadstar Assembly,
Deadeye Dick (maybe related to OneyeDick)

I have a 30-45 minute acoustic set I've been gigging around Portland (after 15 years of playing 4-piece heavy rock 'n' roll) that I'm looking to play out around BRC. We'll have a small PA and kit in our camp but it would be a riot to "tour" Black Rock City.

Doesn't have to be the mainstage. I've been compared to Jack White, Blind Melon, Black Sabbath, Simon and Garfunkel, Ralph Stanley...lol. Would love to do a totally fucked-up solo-acoustic version of Diary of a Madman, stuff like that. Let me know if you're interested. :D

Dude, were 10 year + Burners, we recognize the error. and you just did single us out, because you're in our thread. we've already made the proper adjustments to our techniques and it wont happen again.
thanks,

Chino

This is a good chance to make the point to all camps. I clearly says you are not being singled out. It's just a reminder for all.

yeah, but it doesn't come out that way, and why we and many other camps are really reducing our Eplaya Presence. Trilobyte also recently banned one of out Village Camps from posting on here so, it seems to be his show, and that's cool he can have it. :)

Later.
