Reverbia…the Portal of Live Music for Burning Man…is now programming its Live Music Schedule. We are still in need of groups or artists for our Calm Inside (morning chill), Live Music Yoga In the Morning (packed out crowd…we need live music for our yoga), Reverbia Dance Workshops (submit us a style and a dance teacher), Concerts in the Shade Series (open to all forms of Live Music), Reverbia Nights (open to festival caliber performance bands for our Main Stage night performances). Words like 'programming' and 'scene' and 'festival caliber' make me shudder (so 'industry' and 'corporate'). Do people actually call you Reverbia Programming on the playa, too?

When I hear the words "festival caliber" I reach for my elephant gun.

Call it whatever you want, I'm stoked on more live music on the playa. Corporate programing scenes be damned.

Ugh, the 'f' word makes me cringe.

I see some of his post is iritateing to ya all . But if this is the same place ( on the esplande ) they had a guy that strung a shovel
and had it electrified and it was very cool .

See, when I read 'festival caliber band' in the context of the playa, I take it to mean 'an actual band that plays together and gigs on the regular' - as opposed to a 'playa band' that forms in the dust and jams'.

Nothing wrong with wanting cohesive music on your stage ...

and Reverbia brings it, every time.

JUst FYI, the man with the shovel was most probably Shovelman..... from the Bay Area and now up n Portland. Here he is with burner performer Eka Boo of Vau de Vire Society.

The post had a few words that alert people but I think it's going to be awesome.

Sorry about the wording…thanks gamin wench and tatonka for the clarification. We were on the Esplanade and we did book Shovelman. Our camp is dedicated to Live Music and we like to bring bands that are regional, national, or internationally touring. We also have jam formats and open mic…so that all can participate in our schedule, which could also be call a program…or programming. It is difficult to pull off what we do and many Live Music camps rarely find acts, let alone make it more than one year. We funnel our bands to other camps in support.
If anyone knows of a band coming to 2014 Burn…let them know about our Live Music camp and have them contact us on our Reverbia Facebook page. Thanks.

Dang…I used the word "book"…uhmm…Shovelman asked to play on our stage and we said "okay"…then he told us the time he wanted to play and we said "that will work".
