The fire wheel between the Man and Center Camp

The fire house thing where fire was flowing along the roof, viewers laying down underneath on the ground.

Needs more random acts of fire!

I liked the Skeleton laying in the dust way out past the temple
I also liked the giant Yin/Yang again simple but awesome.
The flowers that could detect your heartbeat were cool as well.
Loads of others, loads of them.

I thought The Last Outpost was really well done.

I found the outpost on Tuesday and am still thinking about the story behind it every day. What was "The Wreckage"? Why do the entries in the diary stop so soon when the scientific observations carried on for another year? What's with the dolls and religious symbols? How went the re-population effort? How can I contact the artist(s)?

It feels dumb to pick favorites, but this was my favorite.

All These Gifts I Give To You was my favorite from this year. It was the five separate cabinets scattered across deep playa with a disjointed narrative connecting them. Something about the voice/story telling really struck me.

While it's very tough to see all the art at Burning Man, it's also very difficult to chose favorites of those you did see. But, there were a couple I kept going back to. I really loved Charles Gadeken's piece "Squared" http://www.charlesgadeken.com/art/squared for several reasons. It refreshingly played classical music which you could hear whenever asshats driving dub-step blasting MVs were elsewhere. It constantly changed color and pattern at night. It was elegant and simple in its design but had sophisticated execution. The other piece I visited multiple times was "Embrace" http://embrace2014.com by the Pier Group (love, love, LOVED their pier and shipwreck in 2012). Its sheer volume was impressive especially up close. The interior structure was complex and seemed very sturdy. It was cool to be able to climb up into each figure and the hearts, when working, were really nicely done. Lastly, my most favorite piece was David Best's delicate, lacy, powerful "Temple of Grace" http://www.thetemplecrew.org/grace.html. This is the second of Best's temples I've had the luck to spend time in and his work is always mind-blowingly beautiful. I've met Best several times and have enjoyed many of his ArtCars over the years. He's a master of materials and creates stunning works.

Since I missed seeing so many art pieces I'd love to know what you all saw and liked.

My favorite art pieces were:

The major art was awesome. Embrace, the Temple and the Man Pavillion were really well done. But that's too obvious...

Burnerwood LA in the Souk. My wife and I had great fun and took a great picture on the red carpet.

The spaklepony skeleton in deep playa. (I'm still chuckling over that one!) Brilliant!

So many more (I'm not sure of the names)...the Swingset, the Genie bottle, and the Caravan Walker thing come to mind!

Thanks, littleflower. I actually did some research via Google and found the lead artist's website (http://www.sawdustbear.com/portfolio/the-last-outpost/) and have been fangirling ever since.

Somewhere, deep in the 10 o'clock Playa, was a bunch of wooden poles with baseball cards attached to them. It seemed to have no point, and the sheer absurdity of it still makes me smile.

This place really changed how and what I perceive to be art.
The only other place besides a kissing booth and the roller disco I made frequent return visits to was the Otic Oasis.
It took on different feelings each time I was there.
One morning we slept where Yes, you could fall through.
There was a Lady(guardian?) there who warned us, I graciously appreciated her concern and offered her some morning wine.
She requested a hug when I came down instead.
I still am not sure I have come down, but I owe Pearl a big ol squeeze, perhaps with a twirl.
