We have a Theme Camp at D between 8.30 and 9: FRÖCCS BÁR.
We have heard ( or read somewhere) that we have to show up at latest 10 am on the 24th at the gate, otherwise our place will not be guaranteed.
Could it be true?
I can't imagine that, if the gate opens only at 10 am, it is impossible for hundreds of camps to show up at the same time.

Does anybody know what is the deadline to get the reserved place for a theme camp?

Space for theme camps stays reserved for a bit (usually into Monday, but that doesn't mean people won't try to grab some land), because the LLC knows that the camps don't magically get in the Gate when they open. If you have a camp lead/ members with Early Arrival passes they should already have your space secured, if not you need to find your Placer to make sure you get the right spot.

Well, it's good to see that you finally secured the tickets you were after so diligently, figured out how to have the RV delivered, utilized your sock accounts effectively, and now only have to worry about other people grabbing your spot. FOCCS bar at D and 8:30/9, see you there.

LLC mean Limited Liability Company, but Eric is referring to Burning Man Organization (which is an LLC).
Other terms are the Org, Bmorg, The Man etc.
We tend to use these terms without thinking others may not be familiar with them.

What Eric said. Get in touch with your placer if you don't think that anyone from your camp will be able to arrive by the start of the event, work with him or her on that issue.

I thought the non-profit had taken over. Or maybe it was gradually taking over and we're not through the multi-year process. I'm confused, and I won't use the term Borg, so I don't know what to say.

Burning Man Project (the non-profit) is the larger entity (an umbrella corporation, if you will) that owns all the pieces. Burning Man (the for-profit company that produces the event), Burners Without Borders, Black Rock Solar, etc. are all a part of BMP.

So, the LLC and the same old member still run the event, pretty much?
