Hi!

We are three girls from NOLA with some extra space in our RV, and would love to fill it up to help mitigate expenses. It can comfortably sleep six. We are also staying with a camp. We pick up the rig on the 24th in Sacramento and are going straight to BRC. This will be our first burn and we are very excited!

We would prefer girls for all the obvious reasons, but are not opposed to housing some dudes either. Please send me a PM if you are interested and I can give you links to our facebooks as well as all the pertinent details.

I mean this in the best possible way, but trust me: Your RV doesn't "comfortably" sleep 6 unless you've rented an extremely expensive bus-sized RV that will go for over $10k for the week.

If you post the size of your RV, a lot of us can share our experiences regarding the size of your RV but I'm guessing I'm right when I say that it's the RV rental company that told you it fits six, and that they didn't qualify that statement in any way. That may even be technically true, but it's probably not actually true if you value any sort of comfort at all.

Not trying to be a downer, but you'll a lot happier if your expectations set ahead of time vs once you're out there. In my experience, putting six adults into an RV on the playa is a bad decision, and is way more annoying and frustrating than you're thinking it's going to be.

Unless, as Figjam already mentioned, you bring some tents as well.

It might be fine to get you all in and out of there, but you really don't want to be stuck with no other options.

The thing is, that when an RV "sleeps six", it does not likely mean that there are six bunks always available. It typically means that the dining table and seats fold down and flip around and convert into a tolerable sleeping space for two children. And something similar for two more sleeping spaces -- the sofa, perhaps. Most likely, you can count on only "Mom & Dad's bed" to always be there. And with you all coming and going at all hours, wanting to eat and sleep at different times, as is likely to happen at BM, you could be in for a nightmare of musical sleeping spaces.

You will understand once you go. Each person will have to keep separate their super clean clothes to wear after leaving and showering, their clean clothes yet unworn, dusty clothes which might be worn again and clothes that will not be worn again - headed to the washer back in civilization. Then each will have a variety of footwear. Coolers. Personal and group food. Night supplies - flashlight batteries blinkies, day supplies sun hat, sunscreen.

You will have 6 packing lists, you might consider where you are going to store it in the RV.

If you have not dug into the packing list concept, that would be a good place to start. Map that onto the floor plan/storage setup of the RV.

Hey guys! Me, my wife and my best friend, Lorenzo, are looking to share an RV with people going to the burn! This will be our tenth year at Burning Man! We had an RV up until a few weeks ago, but the owner said its not running and he is not going to fix it this year.
