Bring a Cooler from SF

Post by spacetime » Mon Aug 11, 2014 12:32 pm

Pretty simple request: I have a standard-sized cooler I'd like to bring to the Playa, but can not fit it with my other stuff on Burner Express. I'm looking for someone who arrives on the 24th or early on the 25th. Ideally staying until Sunday or Monday.

The cooler can be empty, making it an easy haul! My other gear, water and food are all taken care of.

I can promptly meet you or deliver the cooler to you on the 22nd or 23rd, and can promptly retrieve the gear within a few days after you're back.

I'm camping in the Burner Express area near 6 and G.

While I'd happily take a gift, I am also more than happy to contribute toward the costs of the journey. :coffee:

If you can help me out, please PM me!

Pro-tip: if your cooler is going to be empty when you take it out, use it as a suitcase. Pack other stuff into it, then you can bring it with you. Remember to de-package your food & as many items as possible (all that extra trash you would just have to haul out anyway) and you'll discover you have more space in the cooler to cram stuff in.

On Burner Express I have 2 large suitcases. One has to be water, the other is everything else. I will see if my tent and other gear can fit into just the empty cooler, but I have a feeling I'll need an actual large suitcase to fit the tent, shade, clothes, food, gear etc.

Coolers are excellent vessels for carrying water.

How big is your cooler? I could just bring my extra one for you. I get there before you and leave after you. Plus I have little crates to set coolers on. (Heavy plastic liter bottle crates that literally fell off a truck). If you want this, let me know before the 20th.

You'll have to PM me. Otherwise I won't know.
