Tesla Vs. Willy Wonka

Caravansary - This year we will create a caravansary that occupies the crossroads of a dreamland: a bazaar of the bizarre wherein treasures of every sort, from every land and age, flow in and out to be flaunted, lost, exploited and discovered. This is not a tourist destination, but a home for travelers who come here bearing gifts. Amid the twisting and the turnings of its souk, participants will come upon an inexhaustible array of teeming goods and unexpected services. Anyone may pose as 'merchant' here, and anyone may play a 'customer', but nothing in this strange emporium shall have a purchase price — no quid, no pro, no quo — no trade at all will be allowed in this ambiguous arcade. According to a rule of desert hospitality, the only thing of value in this 'marketplace' will be one's interaction with a fellow human being.

As I sit here this morning huddled around my little electric heater with the snow falling all around my house, 13 degrees outside.....Only two words come to mind...

Ehhh..... Tesla.

Never really done either. SP is sorta poser-tool, H is sorta lazy-stoner. Both are equally detrimental to actual work.

Just finished a fictional story in which the protagonist, a brilliant engineer done very wrong by the gobernment, decides to get even with EVERYONE by building an EMP weapon based on Tesla's designs. Numerous factoids and specutoids in the book about Tesla's life. Especially interesting the speculation that the massive 1908 Tunguska (Siberia) explosion was caused by one of his experiments gone very wrong. Behold the Tesla tower, Wardenclyffe , built for wireless transmission of electricity, pre-WWI:

Ooops. Sorry to ruin it and remind you that the area contains shock quartz (quartz exposed to more than 120 gigabars of pressure)There's also evidence for PGEs (platinum group elements - i.e. osmium, iridium, rhenium, etc.) in the immediate area of the blast. Those two clues alone signal meteorite explosion. Not an EM weapon.

But then again, you did say that the speculoids were there. Those are factoids gone awry. Interesting, but still bullshit.

Facts in a thread titled Tesla vs. Willy Wonka?????

An internet search for Tesla has enough theories to get him right up there with Area 51 and swamp gas. The book also said when he died, the FBI swooped in and confiscated his entire estate, including huge volumes of papers and research materials. Up until a few years ago, the FBI was (according to the internet) denying they had done this. Then earlier this year someone sued under the freedom of information act, and low and behold, Tesla papers appeared. Minus 3 years....

Tesla was a real person, that's why I included facts.

The rock band Tesla is also real, and I include them to kick ass.......

There is a museum being created at Wardenclyffe, according to a friend of mine who is involved. Pretty cool stuff.
