Bizarre Ticket Conundrum (*NEED HELP*)

Hey everyone !
I have two girlfriends that are finding themselves in a bit of a conundrum because they got their tickets through the individual sale, but because of an unexpected turn of events put their tickets to sale in STEP not knowing you couldn't cancel (french people...).
In the end, they finally
can come to Burning Man so they are pulling out their hair not to lose their tickets & not be able to come.
Does anyone know of any way or person to contact to basically
cancel their STEP selling procedure ? Taking in account that they haven't had any offers to get bought of course.
If anyone has done this before, knows the right person working @ ticket support or knows the third party company BMorg is going through to manage the ticket sale (I think there is one between them & ticketfly) - we would be extremely greatful.
Thanks for taking the time to read this message and SEE YA ON THE PLAYA.
- P.

I'm no expert but here's a guess; They're gone. As in gone, gone, gone, and gone.

Register for STEP. Maybe they can buy them back.

Thanks for your answer guys.
I figured there could be a way since they haven't been sold yet or they haven't received any purchasing proposition or anything... and that that meant STEP took some time to go through and link together the vendors/buyers, so that they were coming up later in line (at least not in the next 24 hours) - ie enough time to contact someone and cancel...
Shit this is going to be tough to hear.

They won't be able to register for STEP since they already bought tickets. Contact ticket support, but my guess is they're gone.
They won't get a message from any buyers. They get a refund of the ticket price & it's offered to the next person in the STEP queue.

sorry to hear about your friends tickets

that is no fun at all.
On the bright side... thank you for letting others learn from their mistake and posting about this. Good for anyone considering putting tickets in STEP that may not be 100% about it yet to know.
Sorry about the tix - thanks for the lesson.

The only thing they can do at this point is contact Ticket Support - all anyone here can offer is speculation, not actual answers (including the Mods).

You say they're French? Maybe they just surrendered their tickets.

This makes it even tougher if they can't subscribe to STEP again !
@eric >I will leave us in the hands of ticketsupport.
@ProfessorChaos > great point. I will definitely make sure to have it added somewhere in the FAQ of the support and/or tell them to insist on the fact that once in STEP, ain't no goin' back.
@Dr. Pyro > I wish they had, because with french people surrendering doesn't mean not coming out victorious.

Love it!
I would just like to add that the ticket support crew is really amazing, they say they will reply within 48 hours but my question was answered much quicker. So don't waste time with speculations...

Did Ticket Support ever get your friends outta STEP?

Well ...
'Must be a french syndrom.
I have the same problem here.
Did you get any news?
The support ticket team is not answering me.
I got a quick question ... if it's a computer system, how comes you cannot cancel the sell?
'Cause one thing is bothering me : they clearly specify that you cannot be sure that your ticket will be sold ...
So if it's not sold through STEP, you cannot sell it because you don't own it anymore and you can't cancel the STEP ... you just lose your money?

True, they cannot technically guarantee your ticket will sell. (How
could they guarantee it?) However, if it's in STEP, the odds are very good it will be sold.
And yes, there are no returns. If for some strange reason it does not sell, you would lose your money. But the same is true if you buy a physical ticket and lose it, or can't go at the last minute, and can't (or don't) make the effort to find a buyer.
