Counterfeiters everywhere just blew 12 hours of work trying to copy that image...

I'd be pleased if it ruins even one sale for a counterfeiter.

Probably from some asshat counterfeiter. Floating around pictures on the internet might possibly help confuse the unsuspecting person doing a quick search into thinking it's legit. Usually if something's done as fan art or their own mock-up (Behance or DeviantArt style), the artists would have their name on it someplace.

I meant the image on the ticket, not the image of the ticket. That image on seems vaguely "Little Nemo" although it's not. I'm curious as to era, ect.

I used the "Lurching Dirigible" from Rotten.com's Penny Postcards site. There are other neat postcards on there that you can look through.



That postcard in particular kind of looks like the playa at night -- but with more airships and kids. There are some enhancements done to make it look like there's inlaid foil in the graphic and text, as well as a fake perforation where the stub would go.

Awesome job Bbadger. You've got my support for when we begin printing out those tickets. What can you do in order to counterfeit vehicle passes?

I don't think anyone will be counterfeiting those because they'll probably be available in unlimited quantity in the OMG sale. Also, I'm not sure what they look like or what the dimensions are. Who knows if they're even extensively decorated!

Ah, at least I was right that the image was from long ago...
