From today's Jack Rabbit Speaks (which, of course, everyone subscribes to):
If you already purchased tickets (either in a previous sale or from a third party) and only need to buy a Vehicle Pass, you will have that option. Please follow the instructions on the registration page once registration is live.

But what happens after the OMG! registration is closed?

If someone buys a 3rd party ticket on August 8th for instance and then need a vehicle pass what do they do?

...Learn to be better at planning ahead?

They could carpool, take the Burner Express, or buy a third party vehicle pass. Or fly in. Or take a motorcycle. Or bicycle.

I did plan ahead, I bought my tickets back in February, a full 4 months before the stated shipping date and 6 months before the event itself.

Sadly it seems that even with KNOWING the number of tickets being offered ect. the org and ticketfly still managed to not get tickets out in the stated time or even a timely manner that beats their own pre-planned cut-off deadlines for future sales such as the OMG! registration.

Hopefully your snark is not the official party line as it's going to leave some 3rd party purchasers very unhappy when they roll up to the gate and find out they also needed a parking pass they weren't allowed to purchase.

or... you can register anyway, even if you don't plan to be in the OMG sale, and then you're covered if you need the pass.

How does not having your ticket in hand yet change whether or not you'll need a vehicle pass? You know whether or not you purchased a pass, even if it's still in the mail. The "official party line" is that all vehicles (except motorcycles) driving into BRC need a vehicle pass. That hasn't changed since day one of 2014 ticketing.

It's pretty much a guarantee that some people will be surprised at Gate about needing a pass because it's inevitable that out of 60k+ participants, some of the drivers didn't bother to read JRS or this year's Survival Guide. I'd hate to be in that situation, but I find it very difficult to sympathize.

I'm moving this over to the tickets discussion board, since that's a better fit.

Answering the question, the answer is YES. Go to the Burner Profile page, then look closely at the info at the top of the page. Click the right link, off you go. Registration is open NOW until noon PDT on Monday.
